Funopolis Family Fun Center RUINED child's birthday and scammed us! Internet

We were very cautious about booking our sons birthday party here because some of our friends and relatives had bad experiences with them. We wanted to try it for ourselves before passing judgment, but I wish that we would have listened. At the beginning, I was pleased. The woman that helped me book the party was nice and told me everything I wanted to hear. I told her when booking the party that there would be numerous babies at the party (less than 1 year old) and I asked if I would be charged for them. She assured me that I would not be charged if they didnt participate.

Well, to my surprise, when it came time to pay, I was charged for all of them even though they did not and could not participate. I also told her that there would be more than 20 kids, so we would need more room. I was told that the curtain would be removed, so the room would have 2 tables. At the party, this did not happen. We had to squeeze more than 20 kids and their parents into a small room with one table. Thats not even the worst part. We were waiting outside of our party room for 20 minutes past the scheduled starting time.

The room was not even set up when our hostess finally arrived. Then she acted as if she didnt want to be there and rolled her eyes often.  I tried to let things go and have a good time, but bad things kept happening. The first part of the party was in the inflatable room. Everything was ok until our hostess started putting wristbands on babies as young as 3 months old. I questioned it and was told they had to have them in order to be in the room. A few minutes after that, I realize my 10-year niece is crying. She told me that they would not allow her to play and told her she was too big. My niece obviously went home after that. Not even 10 minutes later, it was time to go.

I ask why our time was so short. The reason I am given is because the party started late and they have to make up time. Well it was not my fault that the hostess was late. That did not matter however, so the party continued in the party room..The very cramped party room.  The hostess was not helpful at all and she was rude to children that asked for things. I ended just doing everything myself and she disappeared at one point. Then it came time for the last activity, which was the pirate ship. They filled it with as many children as they could and switched all the children out once. Well, some kids didnt get to ride the first or second time and I made that clear, but they said too bad. 

Our time was supposedly up. The party is over at this point and it came time to pay. Well the whopping bill had every baby charged even though I was promised they wouldnt be. I told our hostess that the woman that booked promised that babies under 1 wouldnt be charged, but she got very rude and said I had to pay it. Well I decided to talk to the manager. There wasnt even a manager there and the woman that did show up said that if I had a problem paying it, then the cops could be called. I paid and just decided to call and talk to a manager or the owner. As I was leaving, I remembered that we had never received the game cards that were supposed to be included.

Most people from our party were gone at this point and did not get one. I call the next day hoping to speak with someone. I left message after message and about 2 weeks later I receive a call from a man. He acted as if I was lying about the whole situation and talked down to me. He said that he had spoken with the staff involved with our party and was going to stand behind what they told him and hung up on me. This place is very deceitful. They lure you in with promises and dont follow through. Please book your party elsewhere. I know if you are from Commerce, you may be tempted because its local. I know that was the main selling point for us, but it is not worth it at all.
