FurniturePM/ FurnitureXO SCAM -REVIEWS - BUYER BEWARE!!!

FurnitureXO.com/FurniturePM.com/MIG Enterprises have been frauding consumers for a very long time. They make threats to pursue legal action for Defamation and therefore many online review sites remove the negative feedback instead of facing the "threat" of litigation. RipOffReport is not intimidated by such threats (I believe) and is a true advocate for consumer protection...so hopefully this posting will not be removed.
FurnitureXO.com (FurniturePM.com) is rated an F, the lowest possible rating with the BBB. Dozens of consumers have submitted complaints with the BBB for not receiving merchandise while others complained that they received damage furniture and have not been able to get replacements or necessary parts. To this date, this "online furniture company" has failed to respond to 61 of those complaints! Their strategy is repetitive and is rather simple, launch a new website, which has a clean reputation, offering popular furniture products at ridiculously low prices. At first they might fulfill initial orders, however with time, and once momentum picks up, they will repeat the pattern that they have come known for.
Recently, the CEO of the parent company, MIG Enterprises, which was the holding company of FurnitureXO (and possibly for FurniturePM as well) was indicted for a 14 million dollar medical fraud case. (published here: http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/crime&id=8389532 ) To this date they have not faced any legal actions for the furniture part of the business. As a warning to anyone reading this, please be careful and stay away from this company less you share a similar fate to me and many others.
God Bless!

Avoid at ALL costs!!!!

AUTHOR: Brucesi - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 12, 2012

I found a couch I liked and decided to order it from furniturepm.com because they clearly had the best price on it.  I placed my order the first week of October.  They advertised free shipping at that point in time, however when I checked out I still had to end up paying around $20 or so for shipping...not a big deal because I was getting it at a good price.  I felt it was false advertising but let it go after they refused to budge on the matter.  About a week goes by and I get a call saying that my Discover card declined the order because I was having it shipped to an alternate address.  I was told to call Discover and let them know that I indeed placed this order and that I wanted to ship it to this alternate address.  I informed them I would do so right away and for them to call me if there was any further issue.  I even called them after I spoke with Discover to let them know I took care of the issue.  Another week goes by and I hear nothing so I decide to call.  I call and speak with a rep and he tells me that my order is on hold be Discover declined the transaction because I requested it to be shipped to an alternate address!  I told the rep that I THOUGHT I took care of this issue and told the original rep I spoke with to call me if there were any more problems.  I asked why this didn't happen and got a B/S response.  I had to speak to the rep like he was a child to coax an apology out of him!  He proceeds to try and convince me to use a different credit card because "they have issues with Discover."  I refuse and tell them I will once again call Discover.  This time I make sure Furniture PM has called and confirmed everything with Discover so this doesn't happen again.  This is just the tip of the ice berg people, it gets far better than this, I assure you.  So more time goes by and Hurricane Sandy strikes.  Of course Furniture PM uses this as an excuse.  I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was a bad storm.  I'm told my order will ship very soon (about a week).  I let it go and then call again in a week to check (they will practically never call you, you have to make sure they do their job, like they're doing you a favor or something).  This time I'm told that my sectional sofa has one piece on order and they are waiting on that piece.  I'm assured by Steve (ext 107) that my couch SHOULD be delivered by Thanksgiving but possibly right after.  He assures me that he will either email or call me with a status update every couple of days.  This whole time my new house has no couch, my wife and I are sitting either on the floor or on kitchen table chairs.  This is when I get really pissed off.  Steve opts not to follow through with HIS suggestion that we both agreed upon (him following up with me)!  I can't say I was at all surprised but nevertheless I was PISSED!  I was far too busy working full time and fulfilling my reservist duties to call him until early December.  At this point I let him have it.  I tell him everything you probably expect I would and then ask him why he CHOSE not to follow up with me as he promised.  He tells me that with Black Friday and Cyber Monday keeping him busy that he simply felt that it "wasn't the right thing to do."  I then have to speak to him as though he was a child (second rep that made me do this) and make him understand just how unacceptable that was and how ridiculous their business practices are.  Finally after he does not apologize, I DEMAND an apology!  He does finally apologize like mischievous little kid who just got caught lying by his parents!  At this point I'm perplexed...should I finally just cancel or I listen to what is probably ANOTHER lie when he tells me it will ship out on Monday (about 5 more days).  I decide to give it 5 more days and make it perfectly clear that I HAD BETTER hear from him before he hears from me.  I do indeed finally get an email Monday saying that my couch is on back order and it will be another few WEEKS, yet again no apology!  I immediately reply telling Steve to refund my money.  Today I finally got that refund check (for some reason they couldn't credit my card back).  I'm hoping and praying this check doesn't bounce.  From the time I initially placed my order until I got my refund check OVER 2 MONTHS had passed!!!!  This is the single worse shopping experience of my life!  The reps are VERY unprofessional and lie through their teeth just to get you off the phone.  Oh and good luck getting a hold of them, you will be put on hold immediately once you call them, for at LEAST 5 minutes.  That's IF you don't get sent straight to a voicemail that won't be answered.  Oh and for any of you naive enough to believe that they aren't the same company as Furniture XO...guess what the name was on the return address on the envelope of my refund check? Also, at the bottom of Steve's email he had a different number to call and reach him...the number to FURNITURE XO...so yes it is the very same company!!!  Please heed my advice and NEVER waste your time ordering from Furniture PM or XO!!!

Not a lie

It is not a lie. When Furniture PM calls, it comes up with the caller ID of Furniture XO. They are the same company. Same people. Same tactics. The screwed up my order. They screwed up my billing. They don't return phone calls. They don't call when they say they will. They ignore calls and e-mails.

They forgot to ship my order. They screwed up the product. And they screwed up the billing. They refused to deliver it immediately after they forgot and made me wait another 7 days. They refused to make it right because it "would cost us like $600 to do that". After screwing up the order, the billing, and the shipping, they pretended they didn't do anything wrong. The refused to take responsibility for their errors.

Oh, and when they finally delivered it 7 days late, they scratched my floor. I didn't even bother call them to report it. They won't answer to respond and I just don't even want to speak or interact with them ever again. I have never had such a terrible experience ordering anything for my home. And I will never order anything from them ever again.

Not a lie

I just purchased furniture from FurniturePM recently.  When they would call me, their caller ID would come up with Furniture XO's phone number.  It is the same company.  Same people.  Same tactics.  If you call back the Furniture XO number, all the voicemail boxes are full.  Surprise surprise.

They screwed up my order.  They screwed up my billing.  They forgot to ship my order.  They refused to ship it immediately after they forgot and made me wait another 7 days.  They didn't feel like spending the money to make up for their errors because "that would cost us like $600" according to their manager.  They blew off returning phone calls and e-mails.  Basically, the worse experience I have ever had purchasing anything for my home.  I consider it a small miracle that the furniture even showed up at all.

Oh, and they scratched my floor when they finally delivered it 7 days late.  I didn't even bother reporting it to them.  They disgust me so much, I didn't even want to try.  They would have ignored it anyway, if they even answered the phone.

This is a lie

I have recently ordered furniture at furniture PM and i have a really hard time believing that this is really true. I  found the customer service representatives really professional and had no problems with payments or delivery. The claim that they are associated with Furniture XO is also absurd just because two companies are in the same city does not mean they are the same companies. And if they were the same then this i probably a competitors claim to say that they are a bad company

FurniturePM and FurnitureXO still haven't refunded my money!

I have literally left 5 voicemails and emails and no one bothers to try to resolve the issues. If you buy furniture from this company thinking "hey they are so cheap", you going to find out you basically overpaid for the dream of new furniture, as all the money you have paid will go to line these thieves' pockets and you will be left with nothing!
