On January 15th 2007 we went to Future Ford in Roseville, arriving in the late afternoon to look at a 2003 Chevy Corvette. Our salesperson was Brian F. Crayne. We test drove the car and started negotiating the trade of our 2006 Black Ford F-250 4x4 diesel.

By about 10:30 pm, after many hours of negotiating we had reached an agreement. A very important part of the deal was the fact that we were to take off a few upgrade parts that were on the F-250 that were not worth anything towards trade value. Those parts are as follows:

Edge Performance Chip
Airaid Intake System
Custom Performance Exhaust

We stated that we would come back the following day to remove these three items when the closer, Rich, said that was not needed, that he would have their shop remove them and return them to us, no problem. We were very, VERY specific that these parts be returned to us. This was written on the negotiation page (the one they run back and forth to the sales managers with while negotiating the numbers) and we repeated this at least 5 times. Rich and Brian said "No problem".

When we went to finance (at 11pm, completely exhausted and starving) with finance manager Robert Amador, we repeated to him that the three parts needed to be returned immediately because their sale would be what we used for the down payment as we gave them a $1,500 down payment check to hold for two weeks. Again, we were told "No problem".

When the due bill was put into the computer for the parts removal it said "Removal of exhaust" and we caught this and told Robert that it was for removal of all three parts NOT just the exhaust. His reply was "Ok, well it will be fine, I just have to write it down as its written here. I would have them change it, but its so late everyone has left for the night, its NO PROBLEM".

A couple of days go by and we have no returned parts and also no financing, even though we were told the financing was "NO PROBLEM" and we drove the car off the lot. We get a call and are told that the financing won't work, that they cannot finance the car without taking off the warranty and going back on the terms of the deal that we had come to so we returned to Future Ford, in the Roseville automall, ready to hand over the keys and leave in our trade-in. We were told that they would drop the price of the warranty in order to keep the deal so we re-signed a new deal on the car with Ryan Kenner, fleet finance manager.

The down payment was pushed back a couple of days since the parts had still not been returned. A week went by and still no parts, and another week. Now when we called Brian Crayne, now promoted at a sales manager, we were given the runaround that "the parts are locked up", "the techs don't know where the parts are", etc.

Finally we were told that we could come pick up the parts. We drove out to the back lot where the truck was and we were told by Brian Crayne that "The exhaust is in the back of the truck and the intake and edge programmer should be in the cab" we arrived and found the exhaust but no intake and no programmer.

We were given the runaround for a couple more weeks and have been basically told that "the parts have been lost but since the due bill says only "exhaust" that we were out of luck"

We refused to take delivery of the exhaust unless it was with the rest of the parts and we received a call about a week ago from Brian saying that someone had bought the truck and that they wanted to buy the exhaust for $500. but then we didn't hear back about it. We called again, Brian said he "hadn't had a chance to take to the guy about buying the exhaust". The next time we spoke with Brain we were told "no news on the guy buying the exhaust" and when we said we would come pick it up we were told that "they cannot guarantee that its not damaged". We were supposed to go to Future Ford today (Sat. 3/1/07) but were called back and told "the exhaust is locked up in our back lot and we can't get to it until Monday".

So on Monday we will be going to Future Ford of Roseville and trying once again to find the "lost" paperwork that shows their promise (witnesses by at least 5 people at the dealership and admitted to by Brian himself verbally) to return all three parts and if in fact they are all lost attempt to collect on the receipt cost of the parts.

I will update soon.

On 3/8/07 I called the President Steve Pleau and spoke with his secretary and she was incredibly nice and professional. Within three hours she had kept her word and the general sales manager had called and said that the parts would be returned and the lost parts would be replaced. Two or Three days later we picked up the parts. Problem Solved.

Even more scamming and unprofessionalism!

Today I called Brian Crayne and told him that if I didn't hear something about this situation soon that I would be taking more action against the dealership. He said "Whatever" and hung up on me. Now THATS Customer Service!

ALSO got a call from Future Ford today telling me that I owe them another $300 on the payoff of the trade in! It seems to me that they probably waited until the re-sold the truck to pay it off and want me to pay the late fees and intrest accrued from the trade in date to when the finally paid it off??
