Predator Lender

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 03, 2017

There is no way this type of loan can be anything but predatory. The terms alone on a $2100 loan can be that extreme or costly unless the intent is to take advantage. It appears to be an attempt to get an outrageous some on the backs of people who can lest afford it. The attempt in itself is a license to take what ever they can get away with.

As far as I know of, there is, in general, no usury law in Nevada where you live (from your account). As a result, lenders can charge whatever interest rate they want. In your case, you are being charged 200% (for 5 years which is equal to 1000% or 10x times the principal).

The problem is what kind of loan you took out? Did you sign a contract? You may need to take that contract to a lawyer or someone who can take a look pro bono. It looks like they tricked you into loaning money in a different nature of what you were thinking. According to this site - http://nevadalaw.info/usury-laws-in-nevada/, payday loan term may not exceed 35 days. Even high-interest loan has only up to 90 days term. Yours is 5 years term! That's very odd to me.

I hope you can get help and nail this blood sucker down.
