Beware these rip-off artists!!

DO NOT use GE Money for Anything

... They issue a PayPal Credit card, show the due date as the FIRST of each month,
then mail your invoice on the LAST day of the previous month !!!

This makes you late EVERY month and you get billed "Late Fees".

When you call the Non-English speaking so-called "Customer Service", they tell you
there is NO-Way to change your due date !!!! Do you believe this?

GE Money is a SCAM !! - report them to your State Attorney General ....

file complaints with the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND OFFICE OF THRIFT SUPERVISION

AUTHOR: Laurie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 30, 2009

if you read all the GEMB complaints, you will find that NOT SENDING statements is a ploy they use to add late fees and interest (particularly if you have an 0 interest agreement)

YOU HAVE TO FILE COMPLAINTS WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND OFFICE OF THRIFT SUPERVISION.

I had a similar problem - GEMB changed my mailing address without authorization and allowed $100 in fraudulent charges to be posted my JCP account. NEVER RECEIVED A STATEMENT OR CALLS FROM THEM AT ALL.

I had not used the card and was not expecting any charges - Imagine my surprise when I get a call from the collection agency. 9 months later

They only respond to complaints that come to them via the Office of Thrift Supervision. They will ignore you completely.

They removed the account from collections, fully re-instated my account, removed all late charges and interest with my initial complaint.

However they would not remove the fraudulent charges at first - while at the same time they could not prove I had used my card on their website to buy a gift card. I have never used my account on their website - only in the local store. Just before Christmas they finally removed the fraudulent charges. But guess what! I stopped receiving statements AGAIN! I had to contact the OTS again to get them to send me a letter stating they removed the charges.

I think GE is getting ready to close the bank down. They have severely cut funding to the group.

several GE accounts

AUTHOR: D K - (U.S.A.)

I have several GE accounts, including Paypal Buyer Credit, and have never had a problem getting my statements. They even email me when my new statement is available. Perhaps you are not opening your mail in a timely manner? Sign up for email alerts. Regardless of when a statement is mailed, you are ultimately responsible for knowing when your bills are due and paying them on time.

Look at the statement date, I highly doubt it was mailed the day before it was due.

That's odd...

You're talking about the Paypal Buyer Credit? I always get my statements on time.

Here's a tip on how to avoid late fees, even when your statement is late. Just log in to your Paypal account and check your balance there. It will let you know when your next payment is due and what the minimum payment is. You can even make a payment online.

Hope this helps.
