High APR due to the risk the car lot assumed when dealing with people who don't pay thier bills on time or ever. Price of the car BEFORE adding interest is more like $5500. How many "brownie points" did you get to come hear, write this report blaming them?  Did it make you feel like a really big man protecting this "vulnerable" girl?  No where in your report did you say your girl friend was a toddler, blind or mentally deficient.  One must assume therefore, your girlfriend is a fully functioning adult, at least in theory.  Having said that, how is it THEIR FAULT because IT WAS HER who agreed to buy a car which was NOT what she wanted?  How was it THEIR FAULT is the price was higher than she expected?  How was it THEIR FAULT is the car SHE CHOSE TO BUY was not at the top of the quality list?  If you are so, so protective of this poor, vulnerable girl, why weren't YOU there with her?  The bottom line is she went there with the willingness to play the role of doormat, sucker and chump.  Nobody forced her.  She went along with it 100% as per YOUR WORDS.

You might be able to earn brownie points from her by blaming them but don't come here expecting sympathy.  If someone is an adult and has legs and feet, then they have the ability to walk out rather than simply go along with whatever crumbs the salesman throws their way.
