These sites need to have zero reviews - They recently removed the Google + reviews because they were so bad and they could not fight it!!  They sell insurance for there moves but have no licence with the state of Colorado to do so.  I will be filing with the state on that.  That should be fun for them.  They ruined a marble top and bashed up a brand new washer and dryer and will not pay for it.  They took forever to pack up and did not send the right number of people that they agreed to.  Then I ordered a larger than necessary storage unit and they completely screwed up the space and could not fit it all in.  The company I used to move out of the storage was laughing at how ridiculous it was, and there were more broken things in there.  I have pictures and videos from there move and the new companies move out.  It was a complete mess.  I will be pursuing them.  Run as fast as you can to another company...  They will not let you use a credit card because they know you will eventually deny the charges from bad service.

They Didn't Sell You Insurance

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, October 12, 2017

What they sold you is valuation.  Valuation and insurance are not even close to the same thing, so filing a complaint with the state on that issue won't affect them since you don't need a license to sell valuation in any state.  Under valuation, when the movers break something, they pay you approximately $0.60 per pound for the broken item.  For example, if you have about 50 lbs of faux wood, you get the smaller of (a) the cost to repair, or (b) $30 and they get to walk away because your contract with the mover prevents you from obtaining more.

Worse yet, you can't pursue them in court for additional damages, based on the contract you signed.  A legit mover would have offered you FRV (Full Replacement Valuation) which is closer to functioning like insurance, but still isn't close to actual insurance.  I mean you can pursue in court, but here is what I've seen happen:  A judge will look at your case, smile, look at the mover and call the mover an absolute immoral jerk, and then dismiss your case because the mover's contract with regard to valuation is pretty solid.  The judge often knows this, but also knows his/her hands are tied..??...so the judge will toss a few words at the mover, and that's it.

Meanwhile, when enough compliants about the mover surface, the owner will shut down for a short time, dissolve the business, and then reopen under a new name with a clean internet record, ready to take on more unsuspecting consumers.  It's all perfectly legal unfortunately and no one wants to do anything about it.

Moving is not inexpensive and choosing a mover off the internet will generally result in the move you got.  Sorry it happened to you.  Best of luck.
