I was emalied by a women named Lynn Williams, GameDays Productions and she I have now learned goes by many names and the company has used many names. They had gotten my resume off monster. They interviewed me in a Regus building in RTP. The office was small with just a desk and her and her ipad and several sports posters. She did most of the talking in the interview saying that there were existing accounts and that the account rep left to their Charlotte territory and that the base salary was 30,000 plus 25% commision. She made the job sound wonderful. Flexible schedule, helping out schools. I believed in the product and it sounds like a great idea. I was told that if I were picked I would go on a phone interview the next day with a man named Jim. I did and took the job. I spoke to Lynn again a couple times who assured me that they knew I needed to give a notice and were flexible with when I could start. I spoke to Jim a few more times who pushed for me to give the ladies at HR my account number to do direct deposit. I was weary at first but then the week before starting I did give them my account. I have since changed my account number. I was told to go on a trial day to see if I liked it and they would then send me to be trained by someone. I sold two ads on the trial day and mailed them the checks. I was told I would be paid commision on them. I asked the week before I started if someone was coming to train me and "Jim" just avoided the question. The first day of my actual job with them I became suspicious because "Jim" kept saying the same things he told me on the trial day, like he had never spoken with me before. When I called to check in a women answered the phone that I had spoken with before in thier HR dept. She told me to go back to Carboro and try and sell again the next day. I did further research and found that this comapny has been using several names. They should be arrested. I quit an 1 year teaching career in hopes to better my family with more income. I have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office as should anyone dealing with these people.

I recently took a job with this company after leaving another position on the promise of the much higher pay. My story is EXACTLY like the ones above. The only difference is I took the job. Now I am in my first "official" week of working and was, on Friday, approached by the local high school principal who said he has NO affiliation with Varsity. I have given them my date of birth, social security number, banking information all because I was told they needed it for payroll. Now what do I do?

I am interested in learning whether or not any further information was discovered about the company. I spoke with both Len and Jim, and would like to know uf this is a complete waste of my time.

Gamedays Productions, Advantage Promotions...Is anyone currently interviewing

I also received the infamous email from Lynn Williams and have been tring to conduct research on the company before I went too far in the interview process. There are a lot of complaints on this site that spell out the exact same scenario I have been going through. There are red flags all over regarding this company, and Advantage Promotions has 2 complaints with the NC Consumer Protection Dept.
Questions are plentiful, and having just had my first interview I almost feel the need to try to put an end to what seems to be an illegitimate business. Is anyone in the Atlanta area currently involved with this company?
