So I got this advertisement from GDS which had a pretty good deal going on so I decided to give them a call to repair my grage door spring. On the call, the lady said that the estimate was going to be $40 with the coupon. Since it was such a good deal, I decided to take it. At that moment, I should have known that if things are too good to be true, it is not true....

When the repair guy came to my house, he said that service call charge itself was going to be $40 with the coupon. I knew something was off since the advertisement clearly stated that there was no service call charge.So I decided to not get the door fixed since I can't trust a company that lies from the very start. But even after that, the repair guy kept on insisting that he was going to charge $40(it was supposed to be $80 if we didnt had that coupon) for the service call even though he didnt do anything. He even said that the company had a recording of my call and said that they told me about the service call charge(even though their advertisement states that they dont charge service call also I dont remember hearing about it). So after going back and forth, he made a call to the office. After making the call, he came into our house, disengaged the garage door, and left the house through the front door. He stated that the office told him to do it this way.

I was shoucked for a second since he made our garage door ,which was at least working at that time, not working without any notice and just left. My car was in the garage at that time, so he should have known that I would have to use the garage door at one point. I had to search the web to find a way to re-engage the door and had to do it myself. When I called GDS again to make a complaint, the person on the phone said that even he himself didnt know the reason behind disengaging the door and just transferred me to the customer service. Since I re-engaged the door by myself, I just turned off my phone instead of wasting my time just to hear half-hearted apology from customer service.

After reading several Ripoff Report about this company, I have to remind the viewers that this company is fully capable and willing to back stab their customers. So please look for other company before making a call because if you do, only thing waiting for you is pain and sorrow.

P.S. I attached the advertisement. Dont be fooled by the advertisement because they will charge more to make up that discount you get.

 I had a similar experience. I also filed a report on this site as well as BBB.

Interestingly, when I did a search on Whois.com for the company website. Notice, they want to be private. Most good service companies will have their owner or someone resposible listed on the website contact.
