If your thinking about purchasing ANY PRODUCTS from Gardner White furniture stores any where in the state of michigan, THINK TWICE!
I recently ordered products from their Macomb twp store. My salesman was Ron Torres. Ron Torres assured me that all the products I was interested in were readily available...with the exception of one table. The purchased products would be sent to me by 2 deliveries ( table would take a week to recieve because of back order ).
The first delivery arrived, 2 sofa's,1 love seat,2 end tables. 1 sofa was totally damaged, both sofa's missing their complete sets of back cushions and arm cushions. Delivery people contacted the store, was noted on the account to replace 1 sofa, bring complete cushions for both sofa's plus the table on back order. One week went by, I called gardner white to confirm delivery day 2 days in advance, and also to make sure all purchased sofa's have their complete cushion sets...I spoke with a Victoria from the macomb township store. She literally played dumb, as if she had no idea what sofa cushions were...told me the salesman ron torres would call me the next day ...which was 1 day prior to delivery. The following day came and went with no phone call. Called the store, seems ron torres is off, spoke with a girl who identifed herself as layla. She assured me that all my purchases will be delivered the next day as schedualed.
Delivery day came. The back ordered table was in, they exchanged the damaged sofa...but no cushions. As angry as i was, I contained myself. Once again ,same delivery team...same routine...he called the store...noted the account, was told i would most likely recieve the sofa cushions by way of ups within 3days.
3 days came and went, called the store, spoke with ron torres. was told he tried to reach their warehouse all day long, no one is answering ( bullsh** )
and I should call him first thing next monday.
Called monday, Layla answers the phone, acts as if she has no idea what the issue is,tells me to call the next day because its ron's day off.
Called the next day, Layla answered the phone again, " it says here ron is supposed to be workng today, but hes not here ".
Fed up, I called their headquarters/corporate office.
Spoke with a Ms.Preston. She assured me she would call me back withn the hour. She returns my call only to say that they will send out the sofa cushions within 1-2 months. When I say " how do u expect me to use furniture without cushions?" she replies, "oh its not a big issue not having cushions."
Is this woman retarded? I just paid over 6 grand for sofa's, WITHOUT CUSHIONS and it will be another 2 months to be able to use my sofa's.

I suggest you do not buy anything from them, no matter what type of sale, package, what ever incentive they offer...its not worth the headache. You will lose your money, not recieve what you pay for, maybe even lose your freedom because you might get so stressed out and pissed off because you were scammed, walk into the store ,and beat the fu** out of the losers who constantly lie to you over the phone.

This is comman practice for them. The delivery team ( after tipping them well felt obligated to let me in on how gardner white really treats cunsumers who purchase furniture from them )
