(Saturday 10-15-2005) I went to Gary Barbera located in the North East of Philadelphia, PA , looking to trade in a 2000 Ford Focus for a Chyrstler priced below 15,000 including Focus loan of 4,000. I was approched by a week old employee by the name of Jacob. I informed him that I wanted my payments under 350 but could go up to 400. I also informed him that my credit wasn't so good and that I didn't want a co-signer. He first tried to get me to buy a new car until I told him I did not want a new car and that I would not go under the payment I told him before. He said that I would be taken care of. He then consulted with another salesman who said that there where two cars in my price range.

The first car I saw I feel in love with instantly. It was a 2002 Chrystler Concord, simply lovely. I stated to Jacob DO NOT LET ME DRIVE OFF THIS LOT IF THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT CAN HAPPEN".

We went thru the application process and I then asked a seasoned employee what is the likelihood of my loan request being processed without co-signer, and again I was told that everything would be taking care of, this employee actually lowered my car payments to 419 from 459 which I couldn't do.

When I finally saw the Financial Adviser who stated that the banks were closed(it was a Saturday) that it would be taken care of on Monday. Once again I asked the likelihood of my loan being appoved he stated that his job was to get loans approve thru 10 different banks. I stated that I did not want to drive off the lot if my feeling would be later hurt by my loan not being approved. He again stated that his job was to get my loan approved I was ok and enjoy my new car and then rang the bell and announced my name as a new car onwer. The car was freshly detailed and they even made me take a picture with my new car to put on a calendar.

Next day show car off to friends and family and learn how to park a much bigger car. Definatly fall in love with the new car( I mean it has a remote start). Monday, I recieved a phone call from Fred the Financial Adviser stating that he wanted to get in contact with the other co-signer for the Focus to see if they would co-sign again. He saif that none of the banks would approve the loan so I needed the co-signer or I put money down. I when stated in the beginning that neither a co-signer or putting money down was something I was not capable to do. So, they asked me that since I worked for a bank, check to see if I could get a loan thru my employer. In informed them that if I needed to get a loan thru my Bank I would need an amount.

(Wednesday) Thru the conversation the amount of the car changed 3 times, when the origanal that was quoted at 15,000 although the first price he gave me was 10,995, then went to 13,000, then 14,000+ tax and title. Unfortunalty my employer only covers 75% of the loan. Contacted Jacob with the information and he proceeded to say that 'were going to work this out, I'm going to talk to my boss and crutch some numbers and I'll get back to you'. Today is now Friday there have been no phone calls and the deal is not completed.
