Gary Stewart DDS ripoff scam tried to sell me a whole new mouth that was not needed Huntington Beach California

I just got new dental insurance and the office was close. I called for a cleaning and was told that I would need a consultation first.(This was the first red flag.) When I went in, to a packed waiting room, I got the HMO feeling. I was finally brought back to a chair for x-rays and a long wait(at least an half an hour)for Dr. Stewart to come in for less than 5 minutes and tell me that in the next few weeks we will get to know each other well because of all the work I am in need of. Out he ran as quick as he came in stating some one will come in discuss finances. He came another half hour wait that I was ready to walk out on. In came a very nice female who started to tell me I needed over $3500 worth of 4 crowns, and a root canal on a tooth that was experiencing no pain. I asked what my insurance covered and she said not much. She then told me "I wouldn't want the cheap ones" the insurance paid for because they would not last. She then tried to schedule me as soon as possible.

I left feeling like I got run over by bad used car salesmen. I felt I should treat it like any other business deal and get a second estimate. Thank god I did. The $3500 worth of work turned into a simple filling and some new x-rays.

Buyers please be warned against this office where the front office lady wears a diamond as big as my knuckles.
