I had dealt with Gathering's several times before in the past when I had ordered flatware and always got good customer service and promt order fills, but they must have had a change in management because I have gotten absolutely no help from them with my last order.

I had ordered five additional dinner forks in the Onieda, Easton pattern, a popular pattern which has been caried by Onieda for quite some time. The total of the order was $61.70 and was promptly charged to my Mastercard on the day of the order 5/22/08. Normally orders are received from them within 3 weeks, so I did not start asking about the order until a month had gone by. When I first contacted their customer service online I received a prompt reply stating that my order was in a back order status and I should expect the order in another three weeks.

After the next three weeks passed and again I inquired I was told to expect delivery within another three weeks. This continued for anther 4 months time and finally I e-mailed their customer care and told them that this was ridiculous and to refund me the amount of the order and shipping which was charged to my card.

I was told that a check would be issued for the amount as soon as the book keeping staff was notified and to expect it within a "few" days. After a week I again e- notified them and received a response that check #81927 had been issued and to expect it within the mail shortly. The check never arrived and further e-mails and inquiries have gone unanswered. To this date (01/20/09) I have never received any refund or further correspondense from them.

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with my credit card company who are investigating the matter, but have received no response from them as to the results in their investigation.
