No one is perfect. But that is no reason for people to treat you like GC Services does.

These people will not leave me alone.My husband and I fell into hard times and are just now getting back on our feet. We owe Il. Dept. of Rev. taxes from tax year 2004. We were sent a letter from I.D.ofR. on October 5 2005 stating the amount owed and the date it had to be received by.

GC Services LP mailed a letter on September 27 2005 stating we owe the amount PLUS another $45.48 for them. I personally called them and tried to set up a payment plan. They did try to work with me.

Realizing the differences in the dates these letters were sent I called I.D.ofR. They informed me I only had to pay the amount written on my letter from them, dated AFTER GC Services letter, and could mail it directly to I.D.ofR.

I called GC Services and explained all of this to them. They got rude with me so I got very rude back. I informed them I was sending payment directly to I.D.ofR. They did not like this at all and said they would notify I.D.ofR. that I was refusing to pay. I specified I was not refusing to pay.

Two weeks later they called again. They wanted to know what I was going to do to pay this bill. I got very upset due to the fact I had already told them this information. I explained it all over again and the lady didn't seem to want to hear what I had to say. She informed me that she would put it down and notify I.D.ofR. that I was refusing to pay.

I again called I.D.ofR. to reassure them I was paying the amount due to them by the date specified in their letter. I also informed them that GC Services was saying they would turn in that I was refusing to pay. The lady at I.D.ofR. informed me to just ignore the calls and said the reason they keep harrassing me is because they will NOT receive their commission for this if I send my payment directly to I.D.ofR.

I called GC Services again to keep them informed. I told them I was paying my bill and sending it directly to I.D.ofR. and that I wanted them to quit calling me. They kept demanding information from me even though I had just given it to them. I finally just hung up. I will now hang up everytime they call.

GC Services is only out to get a buck form anyone they can. I recommend that anyone who is being annoyed by these people to be sure to send whatever they owe directly to the place they owe it. NOT TO GC SERVICES!
