Last year I decided to get Invisaline to straighten out my teeth. Upon visiting my dentist I discovered that the cost was around 5 or 6K and I would need financing so they handed me some information about "Care Credit" financing options that would cover the cost of the Invisaline and have affordable payments.

GE Money is Care Credit, so I thought this would be a reputable company to do business with so I set up the account and got started with the Invisaline as planned.

To save time set up the account for auto payment so that the same amount would come out every month and I'd never have to worry about late fees. I even set the auto pay up for more than the min payment due so that I could pay it down faster.
As far as I know, everything was going fine, the money left my account every month on the same date, more than what was due, and my busy life went on.

After a while, I noticed that I wasnt getting statements so that I could check the balance due and the progress on the account. So, I logged online and set up an account and to my HORROR I saw that the payment has been late for the LAST 6 MONTHS!! How is this possible since Ive had the SAME amount coming out at the same time every month, and for MORE than what was due!

As it turns out they did a "corporate due date change" AND DIDNT INFORM ME via mail, email, or phone call that this was happening, so my payments have been showing up on time according to the due date I last signed up for, NOT THE NEW ONE!

This is totally ridiclous so I asked to speak to a supervisor, and they reversed one of the $40 fees and said they were only "allowed" to reverse one fee a year REGARDLESS IF IT WAS THE COMPANY'S FAULT OR NOT!!!! I absolutely cannot believe it!! They can clearly see that Ive made my payments every month on the same date, for MORE than the min due, and yet my EXTRA payments dont meet to total due for the supposed "late fee" added in so not only am I late every month, but my min payments arent even being met because of the new $40 tacked on for the late fees!!!!

In discovering my payment wouldnt be enough to cover last months late fee, I called them today pay the extra $13 owed since the due date was TODAY. They said I could pay the $13 but next month there WILL STILL BE A LATE FEE because todays due date falls on a Saturday and they wont process it until MONDAY!! They dont care when they recieve the payment, the only count it when THEY DECIDE TO PROCESS IT!!!! EVEN IF ITS MADE ON TIME!!

This company wont work with me and wont present me with evidence that they actually sent me any litature on the due date change! Im closing this account out Monday and would advise EVERYONE to find other forms of financing options and to NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH GE MONEY BANK AND/OR CARE CREDIT.
