I dont know where to start... I bought (well my dad) bought me a laptop at circuit city.. The sales associate insisted on buying the "extended warrenty" and dad bought it thinking that it would be the best solucion in case something goes wrong with the computer (yeah right) we put under the warranty the laptop and the printer and the guy was drawing "birds on the sky" about this warranty...

A year later, my hard drive started giving me problems so I called the technical support, they were really nice to me (now they are not) and they "helped" me fix the computer. They said they could not change the hard drive because the policy is that at least 5% of the hard has to be damage in order for them to change it. so I said fine.. I just want my computer to work.. It worked fine for a while until the CD connector got loose (normal use) I called them and they started making me these questions about the hard drive and the software and I was telling the guy NOOOOOO it is not the software! It is the CD connector that is loose.

So they finally sent me the box to send the computer so they could fix it. I asked the guy if they were going to touch the hard drive so I could do the back up and he said no because it is the connector.

One week later I got my computer back.. and guess what? I turned on the computer and everything was new!!! like the first day I bought it.. So I called the company asking why they did it and the not-so-polite guy says.. well because we ran a test and the hard drive was damaged so we change it..(can you believe it?) but anyways there was nothig I could do.

So when I started installing back ALL my programs Guess what?? I could no see the CD-ROM under my computer, I could not see it when I browsed IT WAS NOWHERE!!!! not even under computer management It was nothing! But it seemed like it was reading it.. It was really weird because sometimes it would show and some other it would not! I had to go into the BIOS and change the boot order to get it to work once in a while so I called them again and they just did not understand me! They suggested me install the configuration CD and so I did and if it did not work, then I had to call the manufacturer because it was the CD that they gave me that was not working.

Of course it did not want to work I did that for 3 days.. I installed that CD like 20 times with the same result.. and On the 3rd day I turned on my computer and NOW the keyboard was NOT working. Nothing, nada!! I called them again and the guys asks me if I stepped on the keyboard or if I spilled something on it or If I broke something on it. I said no.. He was going to make me install that CD again and of course I was not going to because that was not going to help me so I asked the guy very seriously to send me another box to send my computer because I was not going to deal with the same issue here.. So he sent me the box..

When I sent the box, I wrote a letter with the laptop saying that I was really disappointed and I expected them to fix my computer because that was what I paid for (well my dad)well they have called my like 3 times saying that there is nothing wrong with the computer, that the keyboard is working fine, that the CD-rom appears everytime he stars the computer and that he was going to send it the next day (that was a week ago) because it was working fine. I said " Ok that is fine, but if I turn on the computer and it does not wanna work, I am going to call and and I am going to send it right back at you because I am the one that needs the computer working" he just started laughing I said I am serious...

Well, I have been waiting for my computer for 2 weeks and nothing! I am getting worried because all the complains I read in this site. I hope they fix my computer so I can rest in peace!
