Hi, I  just wanted to give an update on Geeks On Site. I was visiting Peru' and saw an add in the Attitudes News Paper for a company looking for Native English speakers. They were hiring for Dispatch, Customer Service, Human Resources, Supervisors, Sales, Reconnections, and Billing. I applied and was called in for an interview. I was offered the job so I took it, seeing how I would need extra money to stay longer in Peru'.

Well, first of all the pay was $500 a month for noncitizens and citizens. Non citizens were paid under the table cash. Citizens picked  there money up at a local bank about 2 blocks away. We had to work six days a week 8 hours per day some of us on Saturdays and some on Sundays. Do the math that is 48 hours per week and if you were not a citizen you did not get paid for overtime or holidays.

We only got about 8 days of training before we were turned loose  to figure out things on our own.
We were told we would get commission on sales every three months well we did not they would always come up with excuses of why we did not get it.

Every call was recorded and there were cameras inside an out.We had different sign in books that were hid under the front desk so that when immigration came in they would only see the legals. We the noncitizens were pulled off the phones in mid conversation more than 5 times while I was there and had to run down the road or hide in a storage building in the dark which they locked until immigration left then they would let us out or call our cell phones and tell us to return.

Yes, some of the employees had shady past but were pretty nice people.The drunk that was there in 2009 was still there but he only ocassionally smelled of alcohol but he was a darn good salesman and very knowledgable about all aspects of computers.He was a very dedicated worker who was being taken advantage of.

The technicans were incrediable. One of the best a Canadian was really taken advantage of they used his knowledge of computers to make thousands and he never got any respect. The people in reconnetions had a heck of a job only 5 or 6 of them at a time to handle hundreds of calls, customer service had to all ways help them out.

I am just writing this so that more employees of Geeks On Site will not get used for another persons gains. You can not live in Peru' for $500 a month and it is true a lot of employees are there on expired visas and George has promised them that he will help them pay there thousands of dollars in fines but he never has.He just says that to keep them there to make him money.

Oh,yeah when you lost a sale quality assurance would call you into there office and tell you to make that sale no matter what we had to do.People called complaining all the time but there were alot of very satisfied customers also.

The employees were just trying to make a living but the owner was lining his own pockets at our expense. We always said we were based in south Florida and not telling them that we were in Peru' so becareful who you work for or do business with. It is not nice to use other people for your on greedy desires.
