GEM International Development, Inc Tarnished Tiffany Jewelry Hong Kong

Purchased $242 worth of Tiffany Jewelry from aka Gem International Development, Inc. Items described as genuine Tiffany & Co. jewelry at discounted prices. Items arrived in time for the holidays and were given to family members. 2 months after receiving a Tiffany Bean necklace my daughter showed me that one side of the bean was tarnished with gold streaks. Tried using the Silver cleaning cloth but without success.

In fact after using the soft cloth it was noted that the silver had worn off of the one edge of the bean. We attempted to contact customer service but learned that the website had changed. After several googles to find the business I did get a response to one of my emails stating that the website was under construction and that I would need to wait till the site was updated so he could investigate my complaint.

It took several attempts and two months later till I was able to get an answer. Their warranty period was 10 days after purchase. The Customer Service guy was polite but said there was nothing they could do for me. Needless to say I am disappointed that they are not standing behind their merchandise. Apparently my Genuine Tiffany Bean Necklace is an imitation and not the Real Thing.

I realize that SS will Tarnish over time. But any SS jewelry I have will clean up with the Jewelry cloth. This on the otherhand would not clean up plus the silver has come off the edge. Realizing I only paid $40.99 for this necklace but just the same - it should have lasted for more than 2 months with a shine. I have picked up much cheaper jewelry that looks better than this supposed Genuine Tiffany jewelry.

I have requested a Credit from Superjewelryseller aska Gem International. I have contacted them several times and put my request in writing. The last correspondence I received was July 2nd - and the Customer Service Agent was to check with his manager. Since then all contact with Superjewelry Seller has gone unanswered. I do not want anyone else to get ripped off by this company. Buyer beware. I purchased $242.94 worth of useless jewelry from them after lst combing the web trying to see if there were any complaints or comments about this company. Hopefully you will avoid this mistake and stick to a reputable dealer.
