My car has been to 3 different dealers (HUNTINGTON CHEVROLET AKA. THE CHEVY STORE, ATLANTIC CHEVROLET AND SMITHTOWN CHEVROLETand has approximately 30 or more pages of warrantee work. Now after the warrantee has expired I am told GM refuses to repair items that I complained to them previously about while under the bumper to bumper warrantee as well as the power train warrantee. When I purchased this car it had 13,886 miles on it.

The car still has the following problems:

brown tranny fluid, previously changed one year ago, oil leaking from the back of oil pan, uneven tire weaR, dealer was suppose to do alignment when they did lower control arms but evidentally they did not. But there is still is creaking noise in front end, most likely from lower control arms and bushing repaired 2 x before, evendentally the parts used to replace and repair lower control arms are defective again, lights flickering on dashboard at traffic lights and upon acceleration, alternator previously changed, mildew smell when it rains, antifreeze leak from upper radiator house housing, previously repaired 2x, water pump also previously replaced, bell noise key not in ignition when driver side door open, oil leak from back engine, brake fluid leak from brake line valve that attaches to master cylinder, previously tightened by dealer, vibration in steering at highway speeds, tranny noises at highway speeds and tranny wining noise upon acceleration from 0 to 30 mph, tranny hold light occasionally on causing slippage, musky smell in vents when heat is on circulate through a/c vents, static on AM radio station upon acceleration, vibration from brake pedal-rotors warped, brake pads are the original set and rotors have never been cut previously, dome light switch previously changed, both headlight bulbs changed, one at 42k, the other at 59k miles, crank sensor previously replaced due to oil leak timing belt and timing pulleys replaced. That furthermore approximately 8 months to a year ago GM customer service I believe to be Ms. Waters called me and asked me whether I had a vibration in the steering and stated to me that the reason why they are asking me this is because they were in the process of re-engineering a new steering mechanism for this car. At that time as far as I know I may not have had that problem but now I do. Evidently I am not alone there are many other Aveo owners with all the same problems that I have.

I have reason to believe that based on the many problems that this car has and still continues to have that GM was aware that when they manufactured this car that the original parts that they built this car with were defective and that they are also aware that the replacement parts are also defective. That they knowingly and intentionally supplied defective parts to consumers with the hope to profit and cut costs at the expense of consumers. That constitutes fraud.

GM attorney Keith Rose ESQ states that their client is not willing to offer me any more than $4800 for this car which is less than the actual retail value.

It is my opinion that GM should replace this car with a brand new car that is of greater value like 2005-2008 Chevy Malibu that is free from defects in order to compensate me for all the aggravation, wasted time and money with having to continually bring this car back for repair work as well as for wasted gas money with having to drive their crummy gas guzzling SUV loaner vehicles while waiting for repair work to be completed on my Aveo for weeks at a time. Not to mention all the lies that the dealer and GM have told me with certain repair items that they claim were not defective when actuality they were but GM did not want to repair while they were under warrantee thereby skirting the new car warrantee law. That this car according to the NY State Attorney General would have been covered under the new car lemon law. However GM will offer me less based on the mileage. That therefore GM knew what they were doing all along by trying to stretch out the warrantee so that in the end there would be no warrantee and I would be stuck paying for repairs.

I feel it is time for GM to take responsibility for the defective garbage that they are manufacturing and that the public has a right to know what is really going on at GM.

Instead of complaining about how they are losing market share to Toyota they should be more concerned with building more reliable vehicles and stop lying to the public about how they have improved. Because the real truth is nothing has changed at GM.

I would appreciate any assistance in settling this matter with GM.
