My name is Norman I am a Afro-American
United States Army Veteran and a member of the
American Legion. I am tax-payer, registered voter,
son, husband, and father.

To Whom It May Concern,

This letter is in reference to the events which
transpired leading up to the demotion and subsequent
termination of employment with General Revenue
Corporation involving myself, Norman;
Team Supervisor PNYFE 2nd, collector ID#3BE.
Approximately late August/early September I exchanged
a note; written on scrap paper, to my
friend/associate/co-worker/alleged terrified accuser
NICOLE, which contained "possible" sexual
connotations. Prior to Ms. Hepfner's accusations and
slander I had engaged in numerous telephone
conversations with said individual. Various in length
and description it was my belief that NICOLE was an
acquaintance that would like to enjoy my presence.
There was the time I had talked to NICOLE on the phone when she was at home with her mother finishing up her Halloween outfit; Wilma Flintstone, when she invited me to a local bar, the Old Pioneer; to get a couple drinks with her and her boyfriend, who I eventually met out at the bar. Then there was the time her parents went out of town and she told me she would be home alone and she wanted me to come over. About 3-4wks ago NICOLE advised me that she was getting her nails done and that I should stop by and see her! Does this seem like the actions of someone who feels threatened? NICOLE has NEVER expressed any anger, displeasure, fear, nor any other negative statement to me about any of our conversations. Apparently, NICOLE has a different view of our "relationship". About 2wks ago NICOLE and I were on a smoke break; with other individuals on break at the same time and I took hold of her arm to pull her to the side and talk to her; NICOLE seemed like she had other things on her mind, pulled away and said she couldn't talk right nowno big deal; so I thought! After that incident and prior to the allegations NICOLE continued to act as always and I suspected nothingbecause there was nothing to suspect! Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at approximately 10:15am EST; when I was called down to the HR dept. was the first instance of me hearing the slanderously erroneous comments made by NICOLE. By 05:30pm EST I was demoted "effective immediately". I was told not to discuss anything that was talked about in the
investigation. I was also told by Mrs. Trish
McFarlane, that if asked why I was demoted I should
allude to my FDCPA violations other than my true
demotion due to "inappropriate behavior" as a manager; even though I was a collector when then event occurred. On Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at approximately 10:00am EST; I was suspended pending HR investigations. I was terminated Friday, November 25, 2005. In closing; I was fired due to a violation of the confidentiality agreement I signed in HR. I violated the act because my name was being slandered, I got demoted, and the perception at work was that I was a sexual predator; I defended my honor and my position of victim rather than perpetrator. There is now/nor has there ever been anything for Ms. Hepfner to make the statements of harassment and/or unwelcome advances are libelous and a meager attempt to sully my name at GRC. This termination comes after the birth of my daughter, November 8, 2005; and prior to the holidays (Thanksgiving, which was ruined and will never be the same for me and X-Mas). I worked hard for my promotion to have it taken away in an instant due to false statements and perceived reality; I am the #1 collector at GRC Horseheads; (3months running)I LOVE MY JOB! Please seek out the truth and vindicate my name from these falsehoods that have not only effectively destroyed my job; but my livelihood, family and social life as well. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

***UPDATES*** On Monday, December 5, 2005; Chemung County Sherrif's Deputy Bailey contacted me in reference to allegations made by Ms. Hepfner; I was being charged with harrassment; according to statements made by NICOLE on 26 November 2005. I turned myself in; and was released on my own accord and issued an apperance ticket for court in Big Flats, New York; Thursday 8 December at 7pm...all charges Mrs. Hepfner claims are false...not only did she ruin me at work she is continuing outside of work; Please help me; I do not know where to turn. I have also contacted the Department of Human Relations and other avenues for some type of response to my loss and on going issues. There is no validity to the claims of Ms. Hepfner; Genereal Revenue Corporation terminated me for violating a HR "gag order" where the instance in question involved me defending myself versus damaging remarks...General Revenue Corporation was all to comfortable with me lying about my demotion! Also; since my termination GRC has had meetings/discussions about me to managers and collectors alike(defamation, slander/libel, as well as blatant black balling)...they have been told to cease all contact with me and to not speak of me ever on the work floor?! Why would this go on?? Other collectors and management regularly engage in relations that are contradictory to policy; there have been other internal investigations that had physical evidence; as well as videotape that went unpunished; while my (small; compared to the other actions of my peers) not only is punishable by demotion; but termination as well...others that have been investigated not only were NOT demoted; but they were promoted and exonerated. Help!

GRC Horseheads regularly(on a daily consistancy) engages in "talkoffs" that are "grey area" and possible FDCPA violations. They do not approve of such tactics publically; but there is a "by any means necessary" consensus. They also promote "FRAUD" by having 3rd parties sign for individuals as well as "harrass" debtors; as well as employers of debtors, family members, references, and 3rd parties!
