Collection agencies are real works of art. Not only are they a joke, the individuals they employ are as stupid, rude and shady as their names imply.

I filed a Chapter 7 in May, 2005 and received my discharge in September, 2005. I included taxes in my petition from the 1990's due to an audit which took place late 2001-2002 timeframe as well as an old bill from the University of Dayton.

The first call came from a CSR named Jared in November, 2005. I advised him I had filed and had since been discharged. Jared informed me, "he knew" because the University of Dayton had advised him not to mention had sent him a copy of my Discharge document. I faxed Jared another copy of my Discharge paper. A week later, I received yet another call from Jared on the same issue. I contacted GRC and asked to speak with Jared. In the background I heard him say, "I didn't need to talk with him, I could talk to anyone." WRONG answer. Jared called, I returned Jared's call not a co-worker. The person answering the phone was not aware he did not have me on hold so I heard the entire conversation between the two. I advised the telephone answering minion I had no clue why Jared would be calling again. His response was "he didn't know either." Again, I faxed yet another copy of my Discharge document to 513 469 4311 Attn: Jared.

Several weeks later, my aunt received a call from Ms. Harris, 513 469 1378, fax number: 513 469 1378. Ms. Harris asked whom my aunt was and asked if she knew me (duh). My aunt clearly and in no uncertain terms told her I didn't live at that address anymore nor was the number she called applicable to me. I was given the 800-436-5244 to call which I did. I spoke with Ms. Harris that evening. I advised her I had filed bankruptcy and all my debts had been discharged including old student loans from way back when. Ms. Harris advised "she didn't know how I did it." Interesting comment I thought since I wasn't the one that approved the discharge but a FEDERAL BANKRUPTCY JUDGE did based on my "circumstances" which does allow for certain taxes and student loans to be discharged.

I faxed yet another copy of my discharge document and supporting documentation to Ms. Harris' fax number approximately 5-6 January, 2006. I followed up with a STOP CALLING me letter which I faxed on January 23, 2006. Since then, not only Ms. Harris but other CSRs from General Revenue Corporation continue to call my aunt's house as well as leaving me messages on my cellular phone.

Not one time have I received any written correspondence from Ms. Harris or from General Revenue Corporation. Not only is their internal reporting system screwed up, the fact that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing is very evident. General Revenue Corporation is a JOKE! A 2 year old could more than likely run it better than it is being ran today.

To fax yet another copy of a document bearing my social security number is out of the question. Matter of fact, any kind of communication with GRC is out of the question. I suspect they are a little pissed because they can't meet quota or collect on a debt discharged through Bankruptcy.
