I borrowed $500.00 from this company and paid the extension fee of $150.00 once. The next time that my loan was due, I turned in an extension form only 2 days in advance of the due date for payment and just for the $150.00 extension fee.

According to them, you have to put in the extension 4 days in advance if you only want to pay the fee or the whole amount will be deducted. Thanksgiving came and went, but I came into some money to pay off this loan.

I called Loan Point USA during normal business hours on Friday and waited on the phone for 39 minutes straight to reach a customer service rep so that I could pay off the loan as well as the extension fee. No one ever answered.

I hung up and called the extension of one of the customer service reps that I had spoken to before. She never answered nor was there any way to leave a message. I hung up.

I called the customer service number again. While I waited again for someone to answer and had the annoying elevator music they played on speaker phone, I got on my computer and emailed the same customer rep that I had emailed before to take care of this problem.

I waited on the phone for 2 solid hours to speak to a customer rep so that I could pay the whole loan off, but to no surprise, no one ever answered. The next morning, which happened to be on the weekend, I checked my bank account. Loan Point USA had deducted only the extension fee of $150.00.

Of course they are conveniently closed on weekends, but were suppose to be open until 6pm CST on Fridays. I called at 4pm CST! I suppose I will be closing this account this coming week.

I refuse to be scammed by these loan sharks. Oh they will get their $500. But that's all their going to get out of me. No more fees or extensions will accompany it!

Just beware of the scamming companies like Geneva Roth Loan Point USA. I know I will just hold out before I do this again!
