geo holiday star pointe resort totally misrepresented what we were buying las vegas Nevada

my wife and i purchased a time share from geo holiday in 2010 with the promise of being able to stay at the jockey club onne week every other year. we paid $5000 for this privelege. the next year we attended an owners orentation and found that we in fact could not stay ther without buying more points. if we were to buy 15000 more points for $10800 more. looking at the book we would still not be able to stay there. this is akin to bait and switch as they at no time disclosed this information yet implyed that we could in fact stay there.

when we confronted them with the information we got from their book, a book not readily available during their presentation, they suggested we just stay somewhere else. this is not why we purchased this timeshare in the first place and not what we were told in the fiirst place. upon attending another owner education this year we were informed we didn't actually own a time share we were merely leasing one.

this is absolutely not what we were told when we puchased originally, however if we purchased another $7500 worth of points then we'd actually own something. the question i have is what is to stop them from repeating the same scenareo if we were to spend another $7500? or $200000? what we seek is to get rid of whatever we own or are leasing because we are for sure paying $250per year "mainteance fee"
