detected fraud on both a Georgia's Own Credit Unions debit card (for one thousand, one hundred dollars and another bank card that I use. I reported both and went through the standard rigmarole of filling out forms, providing emails, and whatnot. Fine.

The bank credits my account the next day. So today I call Georgia's Own Credit Union and also took a handful of crazy pills. Just kidding. I actually just called Georgia's Own Credit Union and spoke to someone who told me "It takes five days to credit to the account" which is standard BS that banks tell you when they have your money and won't want to give it to you. I told her so and she said she would speak to a supervisor. No less than one hour (I counted) people later and they all told me the same line. Finally I insisted on speaking to the entity that issues the credit and they CONFIRMED they gave the funds to Georgia Own Credit Union the same day I reported the fraud.

They told the me point blank they were holding my funds. The rep said she would speak to someone in the fraud department and call me back . There is no credit and no call. I get in my car and drive to the Midtown branch calling them the entire way and speak to two more people who repeat the same five days mantra the entire minute drive. I get to the branch and speak to the manager Craig Jeffries who gets on the phone and reaches someone within two minutes who tells him the account will be credited by end of business day. He also says to call him if I have any problems.

I check at end of business and they have credited the account, BUT.... the funds will not release for another TEN days. I call craig and he says they must have lied to him and offers to get me on the phone with that department. I have spoken to no less than a dozen people by this time. I get on the phone with someone named Kelly and her supervisor and they tell me my account is "being reviewed" and that "it always takes five days." I lose it and they tell me I need to calm down. I tell them to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.
