Gettel Acura Don't Buy A Used Car from Gettle Acura Sarasota Florida

    Bought a used car from Gettle Acura in July 2015. It was a 2006 Dodge with over 101,000 miles sold as is. Prior to this purchase the saleswoman was asked to have her company mechanic go over the entire vehicle and check all systems for both safety and maintenance problems which he spent over two hours doing prior to the final purchase.

I paid $5,400.00 for the car and one week after purchase the left rear tire blew out on a major highway. I had it replaced with a new one cost $105.54. One week later I notice a vibration and a grinding  sound in the right front wheel well and took it again into a repair shop. The manager shows me that the tire in question has a bubble that is on the inside area of the tire and that all the other tires, except the new one, are dry rotted, and would have to be changed. Cost $520.69.

Three weeks later the car's timing belt, head gasket, etc. blew up and had to be towed. A mechanic from the AAA station told me it wasn't worth repairing because the valves were frozen and other issues could arise later. Repair cost estimate $2,400.00. I contacted Gettle Acura and the sales manager told me there was nothing they could do for me and not to have it towed to their shop.

So in less than six weeks the vehicle is junked and Gettle Acura says sorry but won't do anything to compensate me. This used car was never fully checked for safety and maintence. The timing belt is scheduled to be changed at 100,000 miles and they did not respond to that. Stay away from Gettle Acura.
