Gexa Energy I Spring Texas
*Consumer Comment: Not exactly, but yes, a rip-off
*Consumer Comment: Not exactly, but yes, a rip-off
I am so tired of dealing with Gexa. When I enrolled with them my rate was .10 now it's 23.6 per kwh! I'm single and they won't work with you on payments ALWAYS turn them off even if you paid they say things like it should have been paid by 4:00. I think they are gauging Houston to pay for the rebuilding of another city. I'm switching as soon as I can. I asked them that but they deny it. Don't do business with them.

Gexa has raised their rates statewide, so they are not gauging Houston, they're raising rates everywhere.
But the contract says they can, right? So we were suckers, right, nothing we can do, right?
No. I figured something out. They messed up--got a bit too greedy.
I'm not only an affected customer. I'm also a lawyer. They might be liable in a statewide class action. Please contact me if you have any interest in getting involved. gexacase@yahoo.com
In any case, please switch your retail electric provider soon if you can. It may be that your apartment requires that you use Gexa. Sigh.
