GFS Payday Loan Tried to collect more money from me after they were paid off Reno Nevada

I received a payday loan from GFS and I paid the loan off 10 months ago. Now this week I got 2 calls from GFS at work and almost got in trouble for the calls. When I returned the phone call the person told me that I owed them over $900 but they are willing to settle for 60% of that which would be $200 plus fees.

The person asked me to pay $20 by the next day and when I asked him how to make the payment because I no longer have the checking he got angry and told me that's the only way he could receive payment. I kept saying to myself I know I paid them off.

Well I did my own investigation and found my bank statements from 10 months ago and sure enough I had paid them. When I contacted GFS to advise them that I paid them off and that I had the statement and the date the man told me ok he would close my account.


They were trying to get money from me that was not owed to them so I advise everyone to please pay attention because if you are like me with a lot of debt you lose track of who and what you owe but I knew that 10 months ago I had paid all my bills off.
