On 10/15/08, I ordered a FREE sample bottle of Total Cleanse and paid $5.95. There was no mention of future shipments, charges, etc. On 11/17/08, I received an e-mail stating I was having a shipment sent to me. I called my bank and there is a pending charge for $84.79 on my account. I was told I could call GIC (Total Cleanse) and if they would agree to drop the pending amount, the bank would cancel it. I tried on 11/17/08 to call this number and got music and a recording that stated "your call is very important to us, please wait for the next available customer representative". I was on hold for 1 hour when the phone went dead. When I tried to call it back, there was a fast busy signal. I tried through the day to call back, but with the same results. Tuesday, 11/18/08, there is a recording on this number that states "this number is not assigned". That is when I knew there was a scam involved. I contacted my bank and had my debit card cancelled so they can not get any more money from my account; however, the bank can not dispute this charge until the amount of $84.79 is posted to my account and out of the pending status. I wish I had known about ripoffreport.com before I ordered from these scumbags.

I just got off the phone with my bank and was told that these same people debited my account for $78.84 on 11/12 also. The bank cancelled the pending amount of $84.79 that has not posted and has filed a claim to get my $78.84 back from Visa. At least my debit account is cancelled and these crooks can not get anymore of my money! This makes me sick to think that if I had not watched my account or been out of town, they would have continued to debit it until I was overdrawn. Makes me sick! Hope someone goes after these people and makes them pay somehow.
