This week we lost one of our great entertainers in this nation. In all reality not only did he play the role of a clown but in many ways he was one.I say this with the deepest respect for his art. He was one of the finest. I for one being a entertainer myself am heart broken. There are few great clowns in this world and I am sad to say your not helping. Your mass prodution of entertainers has taken all the quality out of the arts to a new time low.Then you insult them by making them bid for jobs taking there pay scale down less and less.  So what  percent is your booking fee? Do you have any idea how much time and effort entertainers put into there art to have them reduced to mass produced copies. Each lossing its image a little more until there is no sign of image left.

I have been accused of being a clown hater. Far from the truth. I am a clown myself. I love great clowns that have a true heart of a clown and humanity. I hate[ if you want to use this word] people who are dressed like a clown with no concern for the people they are working for. I call this take the money and run clowning.Or clowns that are more interested in selling goods then caring about the public.  These clowns are nothing more then vendors dressed up as clowns. Call me old fashion but I do not believe in false advertisment. If the clown says they are from Redding they should be from Redding. If they say they are insured then they should be.If they say they are employees they need to be. If you say you are following the laws of each state you need to be. And you should be following trademark laws because it is the right thing to do. Under ground economy is the wrong thing it steals from kids social services. Foster care, CPS and head start get money from taxes. This should not be tolerated for the sake of the children.

Clown should be all about the kids.  I understand money is your desire but at who's expense. Look at all the companies you mass produce! To quote a few words from Patch Adams Movie '' So you have a choice. You can have me as a professinal colleague passioate or you can have me as a outspoken outsider. Either way I 'll probably still be viewed as a thorn. But I promise you one thing this thorn will not go away."  These are my personal opinions. You need to respect the arts and the people they influence. Clowns really can make people lifes better when it is done right. The world needs us done right.
