My mother was called on in an emergency situation and was charged $1236 for about 2 hours of work and a few valves. Techician would not reveal labor rate and this pricing was excessive and abusive.

i work for a large plumbing company in the area and as just an employee, most times we dont know the hourly rate. we do the work and report what we did to the office and they tell us what the fees are. i am in no way sticking up for gillece, but it is not the technicians fault, it is the offices.

most of the people that work in the field for gillece really dont want to,however, getting a new job as most of you know, is not the easiest thing, especially since gillece pays for most of their plumbers schooling and in return they have to give them at least 2 years of work after the schooling is complete.

as well as work there during the 4 years of school.

the company i work for does not have a single complaint on here, i checked before i accepted my position. also, if you contact the BBB and ask for their report on gillece, they will tell you that gillece has RATING GRADE "F". i recommend looking up any company you want to call on this great website before calling.

Any legitimate plumber will provide a full invoice showing work performed, hours billed, labor rate per hour and a parts and parts cost breakdown. The parts & labor warranty would be specified here also.

Did she get an invoice? You should scan it, remove personal info and post it here. I'd love to see this one.
