It's bad enough that a ticket for a Pre-season game is $55 for a seat(over $100 for regular season) on the end and 3/4 the way up the stadium. By the time we paid for the add-ons to get the tickets, they were $70 each.
When we got to the stadium, the traffic was busy trying to get in to park. We went past the staduim 3 blocks to an old Mall which was being used for parking. We got in a line to park and found out that it was $20 to park outside and walk 3 blocks!!

The person in front of us was already yelling RIPOFF at the lady collecting the money. My wife continued as we pulled up.
The lady just said, "Please don't tell me, tell the Glazers!"

This has got to be the highest fees for standard uncovered parking in the NFL!!
Tampa is not a high income city either. I just think that last minutes scams on fees(after you get to the stadium) is nothing but a trick!! They could tell us when we buy the tickets so we could have someone drive us to the game!!!

Sad but true, I cannot justify ticket and parking prices at FedEx Field

AUTHOR: Brian - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 17, 2004

Sorry to say that $20 is not the most expensive parking for off site parking. My beloved Washington Redskins and their gloriously rich and free spending owner, Dan Snyder, charge $25 for off site parking. These lots are not adjacent to the stadium. They are in actuality located approximately 2 miles away from the stadium. The Redskins lease numerous lots from the business park nearby the stadium on game day. $25 for parking that is 2 miles away, although they are courteous enough to provide shuttle buses to the stadium parking lot, where you can walk an additional 1/4 mile to the gates.

As much as I love my Skins, I cannot justify ticket and parking prices at FedEx Field. I suppose that's how you run the highest grossing revenue team in the NFL. Being that the stadium is located in the suburbs, mass transit is not an option like it when games were at RFK downtown. They also used to prevent people from parking at a run down mall parking lot about a mile away by blocking pedestrians on the one road closest to that lot that leads to the stadium. A recent ruling in court has since nullified that. Maybe next time I scrounge up a few hundred bucks for nosebleed seats, I can at least save an extra $25 for parking.
