I am currently renting a condominium from this woman. She recently came to my residence & told me that I would have to finance the complete renovation of the 2 condominiums beneath my residence because my girlfriend had put rice down the disposal all the while knowing that they had recently repaired the "shoe" around the bathtub that was originally causing the leak. The maintenance man told me that the condominium on the 1st floor had been completly underwater on 2 previous occasions before I even had heard of Surfside III and that the damage was pre-existing however this Pacific Rim Opportunist is still threatening to hold me liable for the damage. BEWARE THIS WOMAN IS EXACTLY AS STATED IN HER COMPANY NAME "OPPORTUNIST" and will not think twice before attempting to extort money from you. I'm sure I will have to sue her just to get back my $2,300 security deposit. BEWARE OF OPPORTUNIST REALTORS!!!

Resolution Update

First, I must say that it is very disconcerting to have a long time client of mine call and inform me of the nasty posting that he found here. Pacific Rim Realtors has been in business for 20 years and while I can not promise that I have made all of my clients completely happy I am certain that my approval rating is in the ninety percentile.

Now, I will try my best to give you a more accurate accounting of the situation at hand.

The rip-off comments posted by Ilene and/or Keith were posted after the flood but before the resolution. It is true that Pacific Rim Realtors (PRR) managed a 3rd floor condo that Keith rented. He leased the property in April of 05. His girlfriend Ilene was never on the lease. The flood happened in July of 05. The 1st and 2nd floor were vacant and PRR had nothing to do with the management or ownership of either of these condos.

The Homeowners Association initially investigated the flood and determined that the tenant and/or the tenant's girlfriend on the 3rd floor were at fault due to some food item that was placed down the drain. PRR was only a 3rd party in this situation. The HOA contacted the owner and PRR with their results. After the owner received this news he made PRR write a letter, which PRR did not want to write but had to as a result of the contractual agreement with the owner. Obviously the tenant was not in agreement with the results and decided to go online and post his opinion on the situation.

Ultimately, the HOA changed their initial conclusions and paid for all the repairs to the flooded 1st and 2nd floor condos, the tenant paid nothing. Actually, truth be known, the tenant finished out the lease thru August 2006 and refunded $1771.00 of his $2300.00 security deposit. The only deductions made to his security deposit were; carpet cleaning, house cleaning, trash haul away and some missing screens, which are certainly the tenants' responsibility.

So, it seems here, the only opportunity availed was by the tenant to use this site to vent frustration, which since it was posted before this situation was resolved, its' tone can be understood to be that of a person possibly facing untold expense which he probably would rather not have to pay.

However, it seems unfortunate that the tenant didn't also take the opportunity to set the record straight on this site once all the issues were resolved, (all to the tenants' benefit and none against the tenant, I might add).

I rented from Glenda for over four years and never had a negative experience. When I first met her and her company I was impressed with the attentiveness and professionalism. Throughout my time renting from her, I attest nothing but excellent "customer service", and never an invasiveness that some property managers seem to display. Any concerns of mine throughout the four years were promptly addressed and always rectified to what I feel was my best interest. I have nothing but good to say about my experience with Glenda and "Pacific Rim". I would also readily rent from her again as well as consider purchasing from her. (As a FYI statement, I also rented at Surfside III for the four years that I refer to.)
