I would like to reveal untold truths about Cydcor, but in specific about Chris Nelson* and his "company" GLM, Inc. He has a corrupt office, he is hypocritical, and teaches his account executives to commit fraud and slamming.

The job is straight commission. You pay for your own cell phone bill that used about 2-3 hours of your cell plan's minutes daily and pay for your own gasoline to drive anywhere up to an hour and a half away to do door-to-door sales. The hours are about 12 hours a day on average.

I truly hope people check this website before they even consider taking a position or even "interviewing" at GLM, Inc. in Chicago, Il. It is a Cydcor office. I was with the company from June 2008 until April 2009 so I truly know the in's and out's of this very corrupt business.

It is true that in today's job market it is difficult to get a job, but one should never settle to get a job at GLM, Inc. or any other Cydcor office. First of all, they hire anyone and everyone they possibly can. Even though Cydcor performs a background check they have the authorization to override it. I saw people that were 18-years-old with no work experience, people with criminal backgrounds, drug dealers, hundreds and hundreds of people come and go there.

When you do get hired either his administrative assistants (who really do all the work) or one of the "senior account executives" go over the new hire paperwork. They just chat with you and distract you, but basically you are signing your life away. So pay attention. They do not properly go over the paperwork that hold the new employee liable for everything.

Cydcor brokers the clients, and Chris Nelson, or any other "good" Cydcor manager will tell you they have absolutely no influence on how they run their business. That is false. How it works is that it is pyramid scheme.

Everyone is hired as a "account executive." If they make 2 sales for 3 days in a row, participate in the morning (2 hours of unpaid, wasted time in the office), and don't miss any days, they are "promoted" to "senior account executive." That is not a strict guideline, I saw many "promoted" just because the other "senior account executives" liked them.

He hires interns to do the administrative assistants job because they are "free labor." Really, they get no work or relevant experience, they just call people all day to come in for interviews. They try to get 30 interviews a day, but there are a lot of no-show for people that figure out the truth.

That is the easy part. Once you are a senior account executive you must train and interview daily to try to get 10 people on your "team." Chris and his assistant manager Victoria Kerbs taught us how to "sell" people into working there. They would tell us how to interview people and stay in control so you could hide the fact of how bad the job was because they would say, "people can only be let into our business a bit at a time because it's so UNIQUE." You have to hire and train people to get promoted to senior account executive, build a team of ten, and produce 5k for 2 weeks straight. Keep in mind, no matter what Chris says, he never did this himself.*

The pay is straight commission, no base, no benefits--nothing. "Benefits" are after 90 days, but truly is is just your average independent Blue Cross, Blue Shield plan. I saw Chris give people 2 weeks off to "think about if this job is right for them." This was just so he didn't have to lay them off and pay for unemployment benefits.

Chris' goal is to promote offices out to get overrides from their sales. Once you promote a certain number of offices and they are turning enough profit you become a "organizational consultant" and then become a "senior national consultant." You can search for some of the "senior nationals" names if you doubt this: "Brandi Rucks, Jaime Hepp, Michael Sessions. etc."

*If you want to know the truth about Chris Nelson, he is 27-years old, never worked anywhere else in a professional office environment or sales in his life (his experience is in service industry). The worst part is that he goes on and on about how you have to put in "sweat equity" --in fact, if you see any positive postings in dispute to this or any others, they were made by him-- but in fact he was never promoted out, he was simply given the office because HIS promoting owner Sean Vernon was moving to California.

Chris has an anti-fraternizing policy. Here's some hypocrisy, Chris' now ex-girlfriend of 2 years he met at the office and slept with for several weeks. He told everyone that if he found out about people sleeping together, he would --and I quote-- "fire whoever he liked less." That seems like it would have some legal problems. He also knew about several people who had relations, but choose to turn the other cheek if it was is top salesman or his buddy.

Here's some details about the people Chris promotes.

Chris' assistant manager, Victoria Kerbs, was extremely manipulative. She had her husband come work for her and simply do sales and not interview and train anyone. That was a bit strange since everyone else was pushed to interview and train daily. She would also go into "unknown" territory because she knew it was fresh and could get many sales there. She would bring several territories with her daily so she had more options. She never let anyone else manage the territory until myself and another rep asked her over and over to.

She's also the best at misrepresenting during the interview process and always got first choice of who she wanted to interview because she knew they would start. Her two closest people and "top" salesman to her on her team, Andrew Kapordelis and Meredith Eldgar were sleeping together and she knew.

Chris had promoted a VP of Sales, who really ran the show. He would call him to ask him what he should run every meeting on, what reps to focus on, what reps to fire, etc. However, the VP was the one who taught all of the reps how to commit "slamming" and credit card fraud to sign up customers for At&t. Chris knew this, but until he was caught did not act to end it. I even saw the VP several times sign these applications for customers. When At&t found out about this, he frantically called customers to see if they would lie for him so he would not lose so many of his top reps.

After he had to get rid of a large group of people for fraud, Chris then thought it would be ok to withhold their paychecks and weekly commissions reports (aka "flex reports"). We are currently in pursuit of legal action via the Illinois Department of Labor to receive our paychecks which may take up to a year. A group of us are open to any legal advice or advice from someone who experienced a similar situation. Please feel free to contact glmfraud@yahoo.com.
