In the past year, I've had calls from these guys trying to collect on about 10 different invoices. (We're a big company.) Each instance is the same. My reps who allegedly placed the order remember a conversation with a "Ricoh" rep, but they didn't order anything.
And here's what I've done that seems to be helping. I tell the agent that we never placed the order, and management won't approve this payment. Then I tell them the only way I can get around this, is if they have a PO or a signed order form, proving that we placed the order. I also tell them to put my hospitals and clinics on a blacklist / Do-not-call list.
Typically charges $450.00 to $500.00 for a quantity of 1. One what? Cartridge, case, truckload?
