My wife and I attended a presentation in Scottsdale last November. We were shown pictures of marvelous properties to stay in at discounted prices. We joined $3800 cash.
Two months later we called the Global Condo reservation number to make the arrangements in Maui, Hawaii. We discussed our required dates, 4 adults, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom requirements and was issued a reservation number, and that someone would get back to me within 48 hours to finalize everything. We then booked our flight.
48 hours came and went with no call. I called them back, after being cut off a couple of times, transferred a couple of times, got the reservationist that was working on our trip. She said she would e-mail the arrangements to me within an hour. --she did.
Then the problems started. 1-The dates on the condo did not match the arrival or departure of our flight. 2-It was for a one bedroom, 1 bathroom condo. It did have a bed that folds out of a wall in the kitchen to accommodate the other couple. I looked up the reviews on this place. Cockroaches in the units, walls so thin you could hear your neighbors tv, etc., so small that when you entered the door almost hit the bed, when opening the refrigerator it did hit the bed. One person said his room had ants in it, he went to the front desk for help, and they gave him a can of raid.
i have discussed these issues with both the verification officer in Scottsdale and the customer service manager in Florida. Both were going to get this problem resolved, apologized for the problems, and said they would call me back the next day with resolutions.--No call from anyone!
I have just filed a report with the Attorney Generals Office of Arizona.
Be aware of Global Discovery Vacations! This is a scam!

Global Vacation Vacations does an excellent job of sales presentation, pressure on the spot and pathetic delivery of services.
(or non services) Forget the free stuff (oh you didn't get it either??)
I've heard what many if you paid - you might feel better if you knew I was a bigger sucker. :(
In 5 years we haven't ever stayed in ever anywhere. Haven't tried for a few years either (too painfu;)
Now I could stay in a condo in Florida if I want to book in JULY!
Trying to book Florida 8 months in advance. can't commit. Not one bit...
We are on a wait list with no indication of time frame or call back.
