I have had my car since Feb, but had only driven it three months when all this occurred, as I am out of town for extended periods of time. Here is my issue with them. First off, they showed me an entirely different carfax than the Carfax to the car I bought (which yes is illegal and I will be taking further action, unless global decides to do the right thing and buy my car back plus the costs to fix it). The Carfax they showed me said my car had one owner and was never in a car accident. In fact, my car had three previous owners and had been an accident. That is a HUGE difference. I would have never purchased that car if they had shown me the correct Carfax.Secondly, because my car was in a wreck prior there was damage to the radiator. This damage was patched up by global and ignored. I was driving home from Florida when my car stopped flat out on the interstate. I was somewhere in rural Alabama and lucky to be alive. I, along with the help of a road crew, pushed my car off the interstate and into a mechanics. In the end I needed an entirely new engine and a new radiator... costing me over 6 thousand dollars.

But that is not all, every week something goes wrong with this money pit and I am out another 100 dollars. NO JOKE, last week I hit a bump and went to the mechanic and yup... another HUNDO GONE. I have had three mechanics (who are willing to give their statements) tell me that this car was sold to me with a hole in the radiator and that is why everything happened the way it did. Global could have spent a couple hundred and fixed my car correctly the first time and none of this would happen. Now I know why Richard Franklin Pace was sooooooo eager to get me to buy this car and get it off his lot. I feel like he basically forced me to buy this car. I walked off the lot once and he called me twice and kept texting me saying things like "I just had two other guys call me about that car you better come back today or it will be gone!" I called Richard after the accident on the interstate, and I asked him what he could do to help me with this problem i.e. fix for free or at a discount, trade it in... a coupon to dairy queen... anything. His response was this "you did not sign up for the extended warranty so I can do nothing to help you." Then he hung up on me. He literally hung up on me! That is when I knew he knew he was in the wrong and all this was a scam.

There are so many little things global could have done to rectify this situation and they did not even try. Unless they decide to buy my car back from me (along with the costs of fixing it), I will be filing in small claims court against them. These are not honest people and I will spend every free minute I have telling everyone in Nashville how dishonest they truly are, even if I have to stand outside their lot.

You have to take responsiblity for what you did during this purchase

I don't understand where the loss of life comes into the equation at all. I didn't see anything in your report about an accident and injuries. Exaggerating your claim doesn't help you get your point across. It reduces your credibility in these reports.

What I saw in your report was a consumer buying a used vehicle without bothering with a vehicle inspection done by their own mechanic. I also saw where you read a CARFAX report and expect it to be comprehensive regarding condition. CARFAX reports are NOT supposed to replace a vehicle inspection done by your trusted mechanic (not the dealership mechanic). CARFAX reports are just one more tool. Not the end all and be all report about the vehicle.

You bought the story the sales rep was selling without doing your own due diligence on the vehicle. Shame on you. Shame on the sales rep too. But everyone knows that car salesman lie. Dealerships and their sales reps are not trustworthy and most adults know that the average dealership will say and do anything to get you to pay more for any vehicle on the lot.

It is time to grow up now. Don't buy a vehicle if you can't maintain it. Don't buy any vehicle without having an independant mechanic (that knows what they are doing) inspect the vehicle. Don't finance through the dealership; have your financing lined up before you ever get there.

As consumers we have to take these precautions because if we don't, we will end up paying too much for a vehicle in bad condition. No, I don't work for any dealership I am just a careful consumer.

AS IS=No Implied Warranty

“they showed me an entirely different carfax than the Carfax to the car I bought (which yes is illegal and I will be taking further action”

Do you still have possession of that CARFAX report? Can you prove that they claimed it was for the car you purchased and not for a different car [that you may have inquired about] on the lot? A CARFAX report is only as reliable as the information provided to CARFAX, Inc. at the time the report was provided.

“Secondly, because my car was in a wreck prior there was damage to the radiator. This damage was patched up by global and ignored.”

You have no idea who patched the radiator. It may have been patched by one of the three previous owners.

“I was driving home from Florida when my car stopped flat out on the interstate."

That would not have happened if you had not ignored the obvious signs and warnings of a vehicle that is overheating.

“I have had three mechanics (who are willing to give their statements) tell me that this car was sold to me with a hole in the radiator and that is why everything happened the way it did.”

The mechanics can only state the condition of the radiator when the car was brought to them for service. They have no way of knowing the condition of the radiator at the time of purchase.

Here is where your story loses credibility: You wrote that the car needed a new radiator after three months of use. You did not state whether or not you replaced the radiator. Last week, you hit a bump and now there is a hole in the radiator. So… did you patch and continue to operate the car (for six months) with a patched radiator or did you damage the new radiator? Your time line makes no sense unless you purchased the car in February and did not drive it until August.

“I feel like he basically forced me to buy this car.”

The word is pressured NOT forced.

Just Wondering...

You say the car was overheating and stopped running on the interstate?  As a result, it required a new engine???  Have ever considered paying attention to the TEMPERATURE GUAGE?  You would have seen the temperature rising and then pulled over rather than running it till the engine seized!  Even if the guage was not working, there would have been other symptoms the car was getting hot.  It also seems you are saying you bought this car "AS IS" without a warranty.  Since you don't have a warranty, why should they fix it for free?  Do you work for FREE?  Your reference to them not interested in the life of a person...who was killed?  Did we miss something here?  Oh yes, don't waste your time claiming I must work for them...because I don't!
