John BIt is very apparent that this company is full of fraudulent practices. Literally, excuse my expression but they have the consumer that deals with them by the balls. Here are the reasons why: You, me or someone we know has a relative incarcerated. They also know that you and your relatives want to keep in contact with each other (they get lonely, you get lonely) they need support. GTL is in it for the profit with the prison, city jail system...why else are they one of the main carriers in the jail system to have to use their services. And do you think that the state, or facility does not make their profit? If it hasn't crossed your mind than you need electro therapy. Now check this out...we are being charged $8.00 off the top for a service with a minimum of 25.00. GTL is taking $32% of your $25 off the top and then you get screwed with dropped calls which rarely happen but mainly come up short. So in reality they are taking close to 50% of what you pay to speak to your loved ones. For you starbucks drinkers that's like going out and buying a tall decaf carmel macchiato for ten hard earned dollars and only getting a small shot of that drink after you paid for it. For you John's out there, that's like going to pay to get some real good love making from some nice looking lady of the day or night for say $100 bucks give or take $50. After you give her the money she slowly, seductively, walks up to you and puckers up her lips, then smiles to which you are aware that she has no teeth, her wig has lice in it, and she grabs you by the balls ever so gently, turns around and walks away. You tell me, who just got screwed. The way to stop this madness I say. don't deal with GTL. Tell your loved one you have to write. Seriously, hear me when I say this. Unless you are willing to say (and mean it) "I'm mad as hell and I can't take it anymore" you might as well drop your pants and bend over again. WE CAN SHUT GTL DOWN! Who told you that you have to accept this s**t? But you still do. I really like the girl incarcerated but I will not continue to get screwed over by a company that is ranking in big bucks via government, facility, and some fat cat sitting down ranking in some seriously big bucks because we are too lazy to act! I don't know where to turn but if anyone who reads this knows who to contact in the state government, or wherever....we should seriously make changes. It should, it must stop. Tell your loved ones to WRITE from now on. Put money on their books for stamps. Just imagine sitting down reading a letter from your loved one, something that may be three or four even five pages long. You laugh as you read what they say, you reminisce over good times, maybe even look at a drawing or picture they sent; all while drinking your tall decaf caramel macchiato, worth what you paid for.
