 On January 21, 2014, I filed a claim with this company for a defective iphone 5. They told me they would send me an envelope to use to mail my damaged phone to them, and when they receive it, they will then ship me out a replacement iphone 5. On January 23rd, I received the envelope and mailed the defective phone as they requested. On January 27th, I received confirmation that they received my defective phone and on January 28th, they deducted the $180 deductible from my credit card. On January 30th, they informed me that they don't have an iphone 5 to send me because Apple doesn't make them anymore, and told me that they would send me a check for $550 instead, and I would receive it within the next 2 weeks. After 2 weeks passed (February 13) and no check showed up in my mailbox, I called them. I was told that the check was still being processed and they couldn't offer me any more information. I waited another week, and still no check in my mailbox. I waited a couple more days and called them again (February 22) and they told me the check was still being processed but they would send an escalation ticket to the finance department and I would receive a phone call within 48 hours. 48 hours passed and I did not receive a phone call as promised. I waited another week for the check and still nothing. I called them again on March 3rd and told them that this is now getting ridiculous. The customer service people could only tell me that the check was still being processed and they had no other information for me. I asked to be sent to someone who has answers, and was told that there's no one they could send me to. They again told me that they would send another escalation ticket and someone would call me within 48 hours. I told them that they did that last time and I never received the call. I waited another week and a half and still no check. I called them again on March 11th and again I was told the check is still being processed. I complained about not getting the phone calls that I was promised from the 2 prior escalation tickets, and I was told by the customer service person that all she could do was put in another escalation ticket and I would get a call within 48 hours. Today March 18, 2013, 8 FULL WEEKS since I opened the claim, I still have not received a check or a single phone call. I called them back again and got the exact same runaround. They WILL NOT allow me to talk to anyone higher up and claim they don't have direct contact with the finanace departmet, who cuts the checks. They keep telling me that they are in Oregon and the finance department is in NY. They also told me that I can't cancel my account with them, because it would cancel my claim. I told them to refund my deductible immediately and to only take it once the check is dropped in the mail. I was told that they couldn't do that. When I asked to talk to someone who didn't read from a script and give me the exact same information each and every time I call, I was told that such person doesn't exsist. Again, I was told that they would send another (4th one now) escalation ticket and I would receive a call within 48 hours. When I told them that their escalation tickets do absolutely nothing and no one ever calls as promised, I was told that there's nothing more that they can do. I am fed up with this and will be disputing the deductible charge with my credit card company as well as all the monthly $10.99 payments they've taken over the past 14 months.

Right after I wrote this original report yesterday, I filed a complaint with the NY Better Business Bureau. After 9 weeks of getting absolutely ZERO results and being told the exact same thing over and over and over again, each and every time I called them, this was the response I got through the BBB website, in LESS THAN 12 HOURS..... MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS: check #13627 for $550.00 was mailed 3/19/14 from our NY offices I suggest everyone else having this problem, and I know there are tons of you, because I've read your complaints, do the same exact thing.
