My daughter who lives in St. Louis was approached by a woman selling the video phone. Since we live in Indiana and she has our 18 month old grandson, we both felt this was a great way for us to see and talk with our grandson, and he us.

Before purchasing the phone I wanted to make sure that it would work with our current provider. My daughter called the Rep in St. Louis and was told "the video phone will work with any provider service." This was important to us because this is our business phone and everything we do is tied to our current provider.

After receiving our phone, we were unable to get it to work. The technical support guy at Globalinx sent us an email stating that we must contact our current phone provider and have them unblock a series of ports. We did this.

We travel a lot for business, and a week after asking our current phone/internet provider to un-block the ports, we arrived home to no phone service or internet service!!! I called our phone company and was told that when Globalinx requested that we have these certain ports un-blocked, they were actually taking over our phone service and with no internet service!

Our phone is useless, as is my daughters. They tell you "no refunds on equipment", even though their records show no activity on either phone. These phones cost $150.00 each along with an activation fee, and other charges.

They also double-talk you. I had to pay a $99.00 early termination fee to cancel with them, but was told that if I returned the "equipment" (phone) in good condition, I would get a $50.00 refund. I asked why do I not get a full refund on a brand new phone, with no usage? I was told that they do not give refunds on equipment! So which is it?

I pushed the issue of them re-selling the returned phone as new. At this point they agreed to give me a full refund, if the phone is returned in good condition. I requested an email stating this, after a long silence, the girl said yes. That was 2 days ago, and still no email.

The Rep in St. Louis said she would see if she could transfer (re-sell) my daughter's phone to another customer. Stay away from this company, they are dis-honest, will cause you so many headaches, and take you're money. Everyone I have spoken with says it appears to be a Pyramid Scam. Stay away!!!! They will con you out of your hard earned money with lies and mis-information, and lack of information.
