I have read several other complaints against GNS. I, too, thought I was dealing with a good company.

I ordered the sample Acai Berry from them and several months later I got a message on my voice mail that if I didn't call their customer service number and make arrangements to pay $79.90 it would be turned over to collections. Problem is I didn't remember ordering from GNS. I did order a sample from someone, but I didn't see anything on website saying it was GNS.

I originally found a link to order Acia Berry through a link from Oprah's website. When I went online to try to find a GNS number to call since the guy who left me the message didn't leave a call back number I couldn't find them by googling GNS. I finally found them through an acronym site.

I asked the c.s. rep why they supposedly sent me the full order without first charging my account like they did for the sample. She said they didn't have to since they had sent me the sample--that they treat it like a pre-approved order. She also said I had a bill in the sample envelope that stated I would be sent a full order and billed for it. There was no bill in the sample envelope. She sent me via email a copy of said invoice. According to one place on the invoice they would ship me a supply of Acai Berry on Feb. 26, 2009. In another spot it said my credit card would be billed $79.90 on Feb. 22l., 2009. Now, If they don't pre-charge the $79.90 like the customer service rep told me via phone why does the bill say otherwise????

The order form on their web site had no warning about this practice of automatically sending out full orders. When you read "free sample" don't fall for it.

The promotion we carry on our Acai Berry Edge product was never advertised as a free sample. In the terms and conditions on the order page it is explained that this is a 21 day trial offer. You pay just the $3.97 shipping and handling up front, if you are unsatisfied with the product for any reason you can return the products to us within the trial period and never be billed. The $79.90 amount listed on your invoice is the cost of two trial bottles after the 21 day trial period. The date referenced on the invoice under that amount is the date you are scheduled to be billedthis is the date 21 days from the date your order was placed. All of this information was explained on the terms and conditions on the order page, on the order confirmation page, order confirmation email, as well as on the order invoice included with your trial shipment. Additionally, we provide the information upfront regarding the autoship program. Customers are not required to stay on this program; we can be contacted at anytime through our phone number or email address provided on the invoice.

I really wish we could've heard from you prior to your account being in past due status. Our contact information was provided on the order invoice and our telephone number is printed on the bottles of our products. We send notifications through email each time we attempt to process payment, these collections calls are only made after several attempts have been made to contact you in regard to your order. Please feel free to contact customer service at 1-800-595-4670 with any further concerns.

Thank you,

Maria

I decided to go ahead and pay the 79.90 just to get these jerks off my back. I don't need this hassle. Hopefully, if a class action suit is ever filed I will recoup my money. If not, well, expensive lesson learned .... don't buy from anyone on internet.

My credit card company gave me a special one time use charge number that is somehow linked to my regular account. I requested a one time charge account number today for 79.90 and called the 800 number that GNS legal dept. gave me in their threatening letter. Gave the information and asked for a cancellation confirmation number which they gave me. I have since read that some of you got cancellation confirmation numbers and they claimed that the number was not theirs. We'll see what happens if I have to ever use that number. Then later today we checked our charge account and they had indeed charged this amount to my account. The name is now showing as GOLF NUTRITION SCIENCES.

So far I have these names that they claim is theirs.

1. Acai Berry Edge -- name used to charge original shipping to my account.
2. GNS - name their tried to charge 79.90 to my closed charge account
3. Global Nutrition Sciences
4. Nutra Lane LLC
5. Golf Nutrition Sciences - name on charge account today

It amazes me that these people are using so many different names.
