Golden Valley Lending Bait and Switch Upper Lake California

On Aug 29, 2016 I applied for a loan from this company. I was told I was approved for $1,000.00. I was told it would cost me $300.00 to get the loan and I would make 4 payments of $325.00 bringing the total to $1300.00 to be repaid.

I was perfectly fine with that and from my understanding their fee was the $300.00 for the $1,000 loaned to me. When I noticed a 5th payment come out of my checking account I called them. Up to this point I have called to get the contract and they explained it was sent to my email. I made it clear I have received nothing. I read back my email address to them again as in past calls to make sure its the correct one and it wasn't entered correctly on their end. I had this resolved today.

When I spoke with them (Daniel)  today they said I owe $975.00 to pay off the loan. This is not what was explained to me in anyway shape or form otherwise I wouldn't have accepted these terms.

I see I'm not the only person this has happened to, as well as no resolution. So I will lick my wounds and pay this horrible thing off. But I want this out there so it doesn't happen to anyone else. I have filed a complain with the better business bureau and my attorney is in the process of opening a case and accessing the phone records which they will clearly hear the gentleman who started my loan explain 4 payments to repay $1300.00
