Goldline International ,David Weishaar, Joe Jagger--Brokers ripoff-unscroupulous brokers preying on senior citizens with disabilities Santa Monica California

I am a senior citizen and recently received a modest medical settlement for my disability in June of 06. I contacted several friends about investing some of my funds for my future security as I am unable to work anymore. I was referred to Goldline International by a friend that told me I should invest a portion of my settlement in precious metals. So I contacted the company and invested $15,000.00.

Not long afterwards the new Buffalo coin that is the first coin that the US has minted in over 100 years came on the market. I was planning on buying just one of these coins, but was advised that I should purchase at least two of the coins so that when the value of the coins went up, I could liquidate one and the value would pay off the other coin. At this point I was a very satisfied customer with Goldline, and had safely placed my investment in my safety deposit box at my financial institution.

I was preparing to leave on an emergency trip to California to visit my ailing mother who had fallen, when out of the blue I was contacted by my broker David Weishaar, along with another broker named Joe Jagger. They said that they were going to show me how to make money and double my investment.

The two of them painted a rosy picture of how in 7 to 8 months if I bought 15 more of the coins that they woulld liquidate 7 of the coins and pay off my note with Goldline which would leave me with a net profit of $15,000 and that my original investment of $15,000 then would be worth at this same time frame $25,714.00 which woulld leave me with $40.714.00 in my account at Goldline.

Being caught up in the ether of the moment and with a million things on my mind especially my mother's health, and with being double teamed by two brokers who obviously knew what they were doing, I said yes to the trade.

I was bothered by something about this deal and when I got back from my trip I began to take a closer look at what had been said to me by the brokers and realized that there was no way possible that what had been told to me was in any way possible for me to come out financially in the way things had been slod to me. I was informed by mail that right after this trade that my broker Mr. David Weishaar was no longer with the company, so I tried to contact Mr. Joe Jagger at Goldline, and nobody seemed to know where he was and to this date I do not know of his relationship to Goldline, although I have asked.

I have contacted by email, the Chief Market Anylast, Mr. Joe Battaglia, twice now, once on Thursday the 14th of September of last week and again today the 21st of September in separate emails. I was contacted by phone yesterday by a Lisa Weidman one of the financial officers that Mr. Battaglia had sloughed off my personal email to, and i informed the company and Mr. Battaglia that he was the only person at Goldline I was interested in peaking to as he is the face and signature of Goldline and the website says "ask Joe" and that what I said I was doing--asking Joe.

I have written two cordial letters regarding his brokers conduct in this trading matter and have told him I will wait until the middle of next week to hear from him personally until I begin writing to various agencies about this particular trade with Goldline and what was told to me by their brokers.

In addition I received a "Truth in Lending Disclosure" with my payment amounts due and the due dates, along with the amount financed and the principal and principal and interest combined. Yesterday I received another document from the Controller with a completely different set of figures on it. Not by much, but enough to be several hundred dollars in favor of the company. Now I don't know which documant to believe in.

I don't know what my legal recourse is, but I do know that there aare many sympathetic ears out there about unfair trading practices on senior citizens with disabilities.

An Honest Rebuttal!

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, January 18, 2009

A good friend of mine discovered my name in this Ripoff Report website. When I read it, I was shocked and dumbfounded. I categorically state that I have never exercised such a plan, or when instituted by my former employer, Goldline that I was not even remotely interested in or associated with this type of plan because I couldn't see the benefits of its use. Even though this reference to my name was dated 3 years ago I am in complete and utter shock. Perhaps this was created by a Goldline employee, someone suffering sour grapes. I have no recall of a George from Washington, but that doesn't matter. What matters is that I am accused of unscrupulous acts and this is NOT TRUE!! My clients, while at Goldline were happy and pleased with my work, my integrity and my honesty.

I NEVER received complaints about my presentations and I never misrepresented the company I worked for. For one thing Goldline strictly monitored each & every agent and their phone calls. Be sure, management was aware of everything that was said and done by all of their agents. The type of deal George is talking about, is a type of credit plan Goldline was trying out, similar to a leveraging plan. But I was never interested in this type of deal and never implemented its use. About the time Goldline instituted this plan, I left the company. But the important thing here is that I did not pursue these types of trades at all!

I worked for Goldline for 51/2 months. I left in August of 2006 on good terms. The reason I left Goldline, was that their prices were way too high for my clients to achieve a profit on their investments in a reasonable, timely way. At the same time I left, several other brokers also left. I'm sure this made the company management very angry. I went directly to work for another precious metals company, where I am still employed. I continue today to enjoy great relationships with my clients that are ongoing and mutually beneficial and rewarding.

I would like Ripoff Report to remove my name from this scurrilous report, because it harms me and my reputation. I INVITE George from Washington (if he does exist) to contact me. I'm not in hiding, I'm not un-listed. I'd be more than happy to discuss this and get to the truth.

Goldline makes good on trade and brokers are the bad guys

AUTHOR: George - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 28, 2006

I was contacted personally by Mr. Joe Battaglia and Lisa weedman, director of business affairs at Goldline, and both were very cordial and understanding about the trade details of the brokers. In conclusion I came to the decision that Goldline was not privy to the facts that were discussed with me by the brokers and that the entire facts were in deed a lie that was made up by the brokers just to make a sale on a very unsuspecting and new client especially to trading in precious metals and coins.

The company cancellled the trade and has made good on their word to me and I am writing here to tell anyone who is thinking about purchasing precious metals to contact Goldline, a company who has been in business for over 40 years. I will continue to be a good customer of Goldline and will deal with Lisa Weedman and this company in my future purchases of precious metals. They are an outstanding company. It is too bad that there are in this or any other business brokers that will tell you anything to make a sale. I am saying here if you are contacted by a David Weishaar or a Joe Jagger about trading in precious metals or coins---RUN--as fast as you can. Check pout these two, because they will easily end up with your hard earned money in their pockets

Thanks to Goldline and their outstanding reputation for honesty and integrity in business. I would recommend this company to anyone.
