Been paying on agreement for credit card that my wife let go into default for about 2 years. pay on line to them every month.made payment in july of 2012.never missed one. Went to make payment on Aug 13th, but on web page to pay on line. it was down not working. Called to make payment by phone was told account was closed. Asked how long ago was it when it was closed answer was call credit co. and deal with them.Then hung up on me.  I called back to make sure this is not a mistake because I do not want to be in default of this agreement and have my bank account drained. I have called every day every couple of hours I get voice mail .I leave message after message even asked to send email. no one will return my calls. What do I do now    .Have they been accepting my money after account was closed? I have no proof that it is closed, if not closed ,looks like I defaulted..This could become a big mess for me if I do not have documents about my account.Original creditor was a charge off. they know nothing

I am now dealing with another agency.They are accepting the terms I was paying. Offered a settlement. But due to my situation I can only pay so much.. good luck Hope they are reasonable people. I did check to make sure that all info they had was real.. Its the best we can do under the situation and you can have peace of mind knowing every month  no letters or phone calls.God Bless

Dear Consumer,

I have a experience very similar to your.  I had a payback agreement with Goldman & Warshaw. The agreement was that I would pay them $100 a month for 12 months.  In September, I logged on to their website to make my final payment.  As with you, I received a message stating the website was no longer working.  I tried several times to contact Goldman & Warshaw by phone, however I never received a callback.  

Last month, I finally wrote them a certified letter.  I wanted to know the status of my account and asked if they had received my final payment.  I never received a response.  Two days ago, I get a phone call from Nuderman & Nuderman wanting payment on this debt.  I have no idea who Nuderman & Nuderman is.  I received nothing from Goldman & Warshaw regarding my payment. 

Without documentation, I am quite hesitant to pay another company my final payment.  Do you know if Goldman and Warshaw are still doing business in New Jersey?

Maybe filing this report helped? Got a phone call account was pulled and given to another lawyer.

Still would have been nice to send me paperwork without me having to find out on my own Glad they are gone.
