I signed the contract for personal trainer because the fitness director told me that he will give me three days to decide whether I wanna keep the contract or not. Before three days, I went to the gym and filled out the cancellation form and gave it to the fitness director. I told him that I wanna cancel the contract because I can't afford it. The fitness director told me" okay, I'll take care of it." I trusted him and left the gym and never came back because I found a job. On April 1, I recieved a bill from collection agency for $2,000.00. I called the collection agency and asked them. The collection agency told me that I owe gold's gym because I signed a contract for personal trainer. I freaked out because I cancelled the contract.

I called the Corporate to request a copy of the contract that I signed and they told me that they don't have the original copy because they sent the orginal contract to collection agency. I called the collection agency too, and they guy told me that I should have the copy. They can give me a copy through fax but they can't mail it to me. My attorney told me that I am entitled to get a copy of the contract that I signed.

The collection agency did not accept my attorney's dispute letter regarding my bill. The collection agency charged me for late fees. I feel like, I am forced to pay even I cancelled the contract. I need help. I apologized if my grammar is not correct.

Don't hire personal trainers

The lesson here is: Never hire personal trainers.

It's not hardcore to pay someone to spot you lifting little five pound weights.
