I just want to make people aware of the shipping fee GoPro charges. I placed my order on 12-12-12 They only have 2 shipping plans according to the sales person I had on the phone. Next day or 2 day shipping. I chose the 2 day shipping and it was $29.00.

Mind you this was over the phone and ordered around 07:40 AM 12-12-12 Wednesday. By Friday evening I called about my order because I have not received my tracking number or a package. Another person looked up my order and said.

GoPro: "I looked at your order. And the payment information is good and went through. I don't know why your order was just sitting. We are very sorry about that."

Me: I then asked, well I did pay for 2 day shipping. So will I be compensated for this charge because it was not passed on to FedEx?

GoPro: Reply was" I am emailing my supervisor about your question and I will get back to you. He should be in tomorrow. However your package will not be shipped until Monday.

I received an email from GoPro Monday around 12:34, "your order has been fulfilled on 12-17-12. In the body of the email clearly states order date 12-12-12. So they clearly know it was delayed. I received a tracking email from FedEx around 17:33 on Monday.

Well my package arrived 12-20-12 from FedEx. It was shipped from GoPro on Monday 12-17-12. Mind you the original order date was 12-12-12. They had 3 days to process and ship my order. Also I was not contacted after the conversation. And there was no kind of compensation for the $29 shipping fee by mail or merchandise. Basically was ripped off for the price of my shipping.

I am very aggravated about this. And is why I took the time to register and post this report. I understand this time of year is very busy. So if demands cannot be met and you are still taking the customers money for a service that cannot be met. Some type of compensation is needed or stop the fee. I don't understand how anyone can charge you for a service you are not getting. If the service is followed through it would not be a problem.

To some this may not seem like allot of money. However think of it like this. Many people make less then that an hour at work. So this fee ends up being 2 or more hours of work that GoPro is taking from the customer with no service rendered. Just a "sorry about that" Instead. If I sold "sorry about that" apologies for $29.00. I would be a rich man by now. I just registered here today. So if this was all a lie. I would not of wasted my time registering and typing out this report.
