I ordered a specific Mobility Scooter, the GT-3 with the CARGO carrier, as pictured on his website.
The ORDER FORM asked for an additional $400, over the advertised selling price of $1499.00.
I was told by Rob Remitz that he had THOUGHT it was in stock, but instead, it was enroute ON ORDER from China, and advised it would be a 6 wk delay !

He then talked me OUT of that model, saying they had shipping problems because it was too long.
( only 2" longer than the other model !!)   He stated that he would send a little trailer ( supposedly a $300 value - which I later found on line for $192.00!!) and agreed to refund the $100 difference in the original order.

The delivery was delayed by 1 week .. and when it arrived, the literature and model was a EW-36 from ELECTRIC WHEELS,  a totally different supplier  ---- NOT the model he advertised, and NOT what I had ordered........ but it appears to be the same scooter under a different name. 

As compensation for being LATE, he offered a canopy accessory, that would also be shipped with the TRAILER that same week.  Nothing had been modified on my original order ... and the goods never arrived as he'd promised.

By this time I began to smell a rat ... too many "excuses" and he was becoming rude and obnoxious.   I canceled the order and requested an IMMEDIATE refund of the $400 overcharge

He sent emails with a "copy" of some kind of verification form from PAYTRACE saying the refund had been KEYED .... with a date and time of transaction .    hahaha... well the date and time on the email was 2 hours different that what showed on the "verification" copy !! 
( get your act together, boy !)

Well, .. not only did he email me the same thing AGAIN .. the following day, with the exact same information..... and different date, ( which was supposed to pacify me) ... Now this is really stupid,.......   If he HAD "keyed in" the refund to my credit card TWICE.. it would have been DOUBLE the amount ( $800.00) --  

This PAY TRACE thing is a gimmick, for people just like HIM,.. who either delay or have no intention of refunding !!  It's used instead of the customary CREDIT slip that all other merchants use !!
I called my Credit Card company and there has been NO CREDIT received.... and it's been over a week now !!! 

I also contacted THE BIG MAN IN THE BLUE SHIRT AND PANTS who appears in his VIDEO demo.... and learned that The Big Man is actually who Remitz was buying FROM..  another dealer, GreenTec Scooters, in Hemet, CA    ( see for yourselves,.. its the same delivery VAN -- in both company's videos !!)    Maybe Remitz doesn't pay his bills .. and the only way he can get merchandise is to  buy from another dealer?????   ---- This dealer now refuses to sell to him, or have any further dealings, having found out,  like the rest of us, that the company uses devious tactics and lies.  

This Remitz guy is a clever con artist, and is not to be trusted .. he speaks out of the corner of his mouth .. with forked tongue !   Did you READ his rebutt to the lady who was writing on behalf of her father ... that had been swindled out of his savings ... and never received the scooter OR a refund !!   Another EXAMPLE of the LIES and EXCUSES...

As indicated by other complaints, he appears to prey on the elderly and disabled, or sick people !

BUYER BEWARE ... and NEVER send cash, personal check,  or a Money Order ... which is untraceable !!

I have contacted the vendor for ELECTRIC WHEELS, explaining that I received THEIR scooter... and how it all happened .......  They have had similar complaints agains GOSOUTHERNMD-  and Rob Remitz....... and they were extremely cordial, saying they'd be more than happy to help with any service or warranty, and be my service location  and advisor !  I'm referring all interested buyers to ELECTRIC WHEELS.COM  now ....   What a world of difference in their websites !!

Mr Rik, maybe you should know the facts and some customers are a true pain in the A$$ instead of spewing out garbage.

Here you go ma'am. You are less then 10 out of 50, 000 that no matter what I do I can not make you happy. We have returned so many of those "Cargo Scooter" back because people want a "great price" but want to use us to test them. When they find out they are really big they want us to return it at our cost. I am not selling these units anymore because it has cost us thousands but I do not expect you to understand that as a business owner. 
Did you get the difference in money for this scooter? Yes
Did my shipping company wait over 4 hours to deliver it because you forgot that we were going to be there? Yes
Did you call over and over and over trying to find the status and we accommadated you even after business hours??? Keep in mind that we were way under our terms and conditions? Yes
Did you get a scooter and told me that you loved it? Yes
Do we have a track record of very happy customers and no track record of you and how you are in regards to when orders you place go wrong? NO
Things happen and I these cargo units are not in stock. I told you it would be 8 weeks if I can get them and you went ballistic on us and said to, "GET ME MY SCOOTER RIGHT NOW."

While you make your rounds to all these website, I am going to blog you with your information. I will give you one more chance to walk away or I am going to add this information and it will go on my blog including your name and information. We do not take kindly to the bashing of my company, my name and my family when we did everything right. We did nothing wrong here and we made it right.

Rob: Doug's scooter arrived today and he was sooo moved that he cried. Let me just tell you a little bit about Doug. Doug and I got married four years ago tomorrow. I was 57 and he was 91. He is not like anyone you will ever meet. Up until about six months ago he was just as active as a 20 year old. After we married he built a deck on my house, poured a concrete patio, took out a big picture window so he could bring a hot tub in to the sunroom and then put the window back in, and most of last summer he spent remodeling our basement. He has driven us to Florida several times and before he got cancer we were planning a trip to niagra falls. He has a wonderfully kind and gentle spirit and he is very proud. But a few weeks ago when he found out that the cancer had spread to his spine, his lungs, and his bladder he refused to give up. He still says he can beat this.
He never complains about anything but he went to lowes one day to pick up some things and came back in tears because he couldn't walk far enought to get what he needed. Thats when I knew I had to do this. I could see that just walking to the shop to get tools when he is working on something was hard for him. So now he can jump on his scooter and ride when he needs to. I knew he would never accept a scooter like old people ride but a few months ago my son and I bought used (two wheel) electric scooters and we ride down the street. I could tell he wanted to try but since he never learned to ride a bike, him and I both were afraid for him to try it. When I seen this three wheeler I knew it was for him. He has done a lot throughout his life. He plays the piano, the organ, and did play the guitar until he fell off a roof and broke both wrists. And up until a couple years before we married he flew an airplane. (the stories from his friends about his flying are priceless). He said he has had more speeding tickets than he can count so it seems fitting that he has the fastest mobility scooter on the market.

It did a decent job of pulling the hills ... but it was a big drain on the batteries. ... ( went down to 1/2 full !! ) but when I stopped for a minute to apply more sunscreen, the "fuel gauge" came right back up to FULL again. 

It's HOT over here ... (90 degrees today) and I'm really looking forward to getting the Sunshade or Canopy you'd offered, along with the Trailer ... ( almost FRIED today .. ha)

My credit card has not yet been credited for the $ 100 difference in model. ... but maybe that "happens" when the trailer and canopy get shipped... to close out the complete order? 

** Where do I take the machine for service? The rear brakes squeek .. (What do I need to do?) 

Also, ... Is there a downloadable manual that tells HOW to change a tire, and adjust the brakes, if needed? 
The stuff that came with the bike was very limited -- and no tool kit. 
( It was for an "Electric Wheels" model ? -- looks about the same as mine... but ... 
there was nothing about a GT-3 ?? 
Was there a boo boo somewhere in shipping?)

I know you are very excited about this scooter and I am excited too but unfortunately I was notified today that this scooter is sold out and is 6 weeks out. Its on a slow boat from China. I wish to talk to you about this since it is very upsetting on my end. I have been having a very hard time with this news because I was under the impression that we had the cargo ones in stock. Keep in mind that we have actually had to return these before because they are twice the size of the single passenger. You can not drive this thing inside anyway because the medal cargo and the size will run into walls, etc. I am considering phasing this item out and going with the double passenger and the trailer option as an addition.

Because of the delay of the cargo and double passenger scooter, I am bringing in the trailer which takes about 10 seconds to hook up to your scooter. I will have them next week and the cost is $300. This will save you $100 from what you paid us. I truly think this is a better option then the longer scooter since you have 2 choices when you go to ride it. I have driven the long scooter and the single passenger with the trailer and I loved it.

I have been instructed that your scooter(single passenger) will ship today if you agree to this and then the trailer will arrive to you next week. We will give you $100 off your order and pay the extra freight to ship you the additional item. Please see picture of the trailer.

I hope this works and if not then we have to wait about 6 weeks. I would hate to kill your excitement.
