I was contacted by this company under the name rxfinancial. I was under the impression that it was more or less a secured credit card company. I was also told that I would recieve the package before the money would come out of my account.

During the first call, I asked the agent if I could cancel if I did not receive the package before the date the money was to come out. He said yes. I also asked him if the offer was for an actual credit card. He said the card would come after I recieved the package, but before I paid the money.

The date came when I was to recieve my package, and it did not come. I called the company back and they told me that the UPS delivery man could not find my address, this was my first hint that something was fishy. Fedex has delivered many things to my house with no problem, I would assume that the UPS man could find it just as well. When I talked to them the second time, I told them that I wanted the date that the money would come out moved forward, to give them time to redeliver the package. They said that would be no problem.

I expressly asked the man if I could cancel everything if the package did not arrive before the date the money was supposed to come out, he said yes. I once again assumed they had done what they said. I called my bank on the day that the money was to come out initially for something else, and there was a pending credit for the amount that was supposed to be taken out two weeks later by this rxfinancial, but the name on the withdrawl was gotec financial.

I once again called the company and explained the situation to them. The lady on the phone informed me that you never see what you pay for before you pay for it. I told her the agreement I had with the man I had talked to last time, she said they are not authorized to do that and that whoever told me that lied and that I could not cancel the order because I wasn't even in the computer. I told her to either cancel the order as I was told that I could do, or I would stop payment on the withdrawl altogether. She said that all I could do would be to send back the package in it's original condition after it was received and I would be refunded 189.90 of the 219.90 that I would have paid.

I luckily caught the draft in time to put a permanent stop payment against the company. I finally recieved the package and it's original condition is less than stellar, the box was ripped and mangled. Within the package is a cd. The instructions for the cd say that if you open the application on it, the entire amount is non-refundable. How would you know if you were dissatisfied with a product if you can't even see it? The book that is in the package is a lot of inane babble that anyone can get from any credit counseling service. I would return the package, but it would cost me more to do so. I will not pay the balance if I am sent an invoice and if they want their package back, they can pay to have it shipped, or I'll burn it.

They say that a verbal agreement is binding, well, I had a verbal agreement with them that if I did not receive the package at a predetermined time, I could cancel without any charge. The package missed that date by two weeks, so I guess they are the ones that broke the contract, and they can eat the cost.

I also got ripped off by consolidated media services a few years ago, I think I'll just stop answering my phone, since the only people on the other end are theives.

Scammed and Ripped off

AUTHOR: Lederle - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 10, 2005

I recieved a call at this number from rxfinancial and they told me that I could receive a credit card in the mail and regardless of my credit and help me clean up my credit. After I recieve my package I could go to any bank and they will honor me a credit card.

All I would have to do is pay $219.90. I wrote the whole conversation down in a notebook. Then they told me if I have any customer service issues to call a different 800 number.

So finally they sent a package in the mail and I thought it was a credit card. It was a book and a cd showing you how to go about repairing your credit. It tells you to go in and sign in on the internet with your Id and password but I wasn't sure what mine was and I wanted to cancel anyway.

I called the customer service line and they gave you a certain amount of time to call in and if you logged on you will not be refunded. So I got mad and said this is not what they told me that they were sending and tried to cancelled that is when they told me about going to any bank to get a credit card. It just didn't seem fair their goal was to get me to log on so that I could forfeit my payment but I didn't because when I called back the line was busy. So now I know it was a scam
