GoTech Financial ripoff scam! Don't send them you hard earned money. Saint George Utah

I received a call from Gotech a couple of weeks ago. They said I had been approved for a $5000 credit limit. I just needed to give my credit card number so they can charge a one time fee of $219.99 and in return they will send me a $250 in credit to a website as a holiday special since christmas is near. Obviously this sounded like a good deal.

I had arranged to have the $219.99 billed to my account tomorrow morning (but the call came a couple weeks ago). Luckily I was fortunately enough to stumble upon this website and read the reports about Gotech or Gotec Financial.

I immediately called the bank to move all of the money from my checking into the savings so they cannot debit the money through my checking account which I gave them the numbers for over the phone. I will also close the account and open a new one so that the numbers they have for my credit card will not work since the account will be closed and i will have a new account number. A hassle but at least I'm not out the $219.00 they would have charged me morning. Thanks!
