I worked for them for a year or so, was promised 30% commission for each sale. Half way through the year they changed pay plan to salary, my sales pipine was worth work but they only gave me 9k. Then made me use that money to pay back for deals THEY LOST because of poor management. Also I was buying a truck from them. I owed 7500 for it, I payed 6000 and then when I told other sales reps they were ripping us off, they fired me and kept my truck... they made numerous threats to me if I went to work for another company they would sue me. Since I worked there, I saw them hire guys, wait until they made Alot of sales, and before paying the commission to the sales guy, they would fire them, keep all the money, and then still try to sue them.. they are worth 45 mil. Who does that??? They abuse their power and manipulate young guys who don't know much about laws.. They also lied to many customers, forcing them to abide by contract obligations.. which would make the customer use gutter, fence, and window money to pay their deductible. And said insurance companies wouldn't mind if you didn't replace said work... many customers got in trouble for this . I could go on and on.. And i have 10 different people who got the same treatment....

#1 UPDATE Employee ..inside information

Struggling salesman giving dishonest account to save face

AUTHOR: GPConstruction - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, May 15, 2017

This review has been posted by a former employee that took a big payday and then tried to flip customers to a competitor...

In a company-wide transition to provide all sales contractors employee status, full benefits, and additional compensation, Justin, and all sales representatives were given the option to stay on their existing 30% commission plan, or take a buyout of their pipeline and move to cash bonus plan. Justin chose the latter. At the time of the buyout, he knew he had a number of deals that he had requested an advance on but subsequently lost due to over-promising.

He had no money to purchase a truck and subsequently continue working, so the company offered him a lease-to-own plan of a company vehicle while he worked to purchase the vehicle in-full from his earnings. Unfortunately, Justin quit before he paid even half of the vehicle and was fully aware the terms of the purchase meant he lost equity.

Justin signed a non-compete agreement due to the extensive training and proprietary techniques - he knew this for all of his employment but still chose to leave for a competitor.

Door-to-Door sales is a difficult role to master; anyone working hard to learn the trade and putting in full-time hours has done very well and kept long employment. Due to generous incentives by GP, we see many salesmen like Justin who are tempted to promise customers things that are not permitted - ultimately hurting the company and the customer. GP does not stand for such behavior in accordance with our ethos and the guidelines of the Texas Dept of Insurance.

We are open with all of our business practices and we are proud of the supplementation knowledge our professionals provide to customers to help them overcome any financial obstacle easily and legally.

We are disappointed to see such slander online after this salesman left, this is not the forum to display employment concerns - but we wish him the best going forward.

Thank you.
