My wife and I fell for the Grand Crowne Travel Networks sales scam in Branson Missouri June 6, 2005. They gave a presentation of special deals for travel and condo combos and airline ticket savings that were low in cost and very appealing to Senior Citizens on fixed budgets. They said that these savings would be available to us if we joined the Grand Crowne Network for $7,000 and our cond in Florida.

My daughter has tried to get low fair airline tickets to Houston Tx by calling the number on her id card but never got a response back from them on airline tickets available. I have searched for deals on their internet site and have not found any that can be used by the average person.

All the deals are higher than ones I can find on the internet or through RCI and the complete packages for air travel and hotel accomidations are out of some city too far to drive to from where we live and higher in price than ones on the internet. I have not found any deal on condos that are lower than the cost of maintenance fees at the condo that we owned.

This was one of their sales pitches, that the cost of using their services was lower than the cost of keeping a condo and paying the fees associated with it. I have sent letters to the Grand Crowne Network headquarters in Springfield Missouri expressing the fact that we have been ripped off, but they will not answer them or contact me in any way. I guess the next step is to carry this to the US Consumer Protection Department and use your web site to expose them.

Record ALL meetings with salespeople.

AUTHOR: Ray Roper - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 18, 2009

If you have any meetings with salespeople, it would pay you BUY a recorder and RECORD all meetings. The sales people told us truths, half truths and Lies when we bought our Travel membership, the same thing when we upgraded to ownership.
Of course we did not record, and when we confronted management, they told us they taped all 'final confirmations' of the selling agreement after the sale. They knew what to tape and what not to tape. And of course the sales person was no longer employed, so we could not question her in front of management....I like Grand Crowne and the Surry Inn, but no more upgrades for me, Anyone want to buy my timeshare with the maintainance fee that has increased to an unreasonable rate, which we have no control. If they increase the fee much more we will have to default and they get back the timeshare and they don't have to put up with us any more..

Good experiences with Grand Crowne II Gold VIP

AUTHOR: Doc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 15, 2009

I have been an owner at Grand Crowne Resort since 1999 and have had nothing but good experiences there and with their services. If all you bought was a Travel Club, then all I can say is you get what you pay for. If you put your 7K plus a little bit more, then you can get the prime time with lower prices. I had a Travel Club once and basically all you get is the left over stuff owners don't want. As an owner at Grand Crowne, I am also an Interval International Gold VIP member, which entitles me to buy as many weeks as I want for as little as $189.00 per week, any where in the world I want to go. Myself and a friend just got back from a week in Maui thru the Network all inclusive air, condo, food, booze $889.00 !!

We just booked all incluse Jamacan trip thru the Network 5 day, air, condo, food, booze $591.00!!
Again, all I can say, is you get what you pay for. You spent 7K, for as little as 3K more, you could of had a deed and title plus access to the best!! All you bought was a membership for leftovers. Sorry. You can however, (I believe) trade that in for an actual ownership. They used our travel club as a down payment and it just cost us a closing fee!!

File a complaint with all agencies

AUTHOR: Arthur - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 25, 2007

I recommend you file additional complaints with the BBB of Springfield, Mo, Attorney General of Mo., AARP, Federal Trade Commission and file a class action report. This can all be done on-line. This is what we are in the process of doing. It is time that Grand Crowne stops fleecing America.

Grand Crowne Travel Network is not a scam. We currently have over 80,000 members and family members and yes, we do guarantee the lowest available price at time of booking your travel. We have the Price Match Guarantee to insure this, because we are aware that travel prices can and do change every minute. We have also provided other options for you to receive the lowest available price. We have a huge assortment of the Internet companies on our site, so you can receive cash back when you book off any of them. Grand Crowne also gives you $5,000.00 dollars every year to use towards the online purchase of travel, merchandise, dinner vouchers, etc. If that is not a savings, then what is?

Our records do indicate that we have responded to your letters on the following dates: 11/7/05, 11/23/05 and 12/27/05. As stated in those letters, there are many facets to the program and we encouraged you to call our Member Services toll free number so they could help you understand the services and benefits available with your membership. We want you to use your membership and enjoy the maximum obtainable benefit.
